The aim of art education in primary schools is not to cultivate artists,but to develop children's intelligence,cultivate students' observation,imagination and creativity,enhance their aesthetic sense,appreciation ability and focus on aesthetic attitudes,and improve their unique personality,ideological sentiment and perfect personality through art education.Since the beginning of the new curriculum in China,the reform in the field of art education has been steadily moving forward,and literacy education has been widely recognized.However,there are still some problems,such as boring teaching atmosphere,outdated teaching content and conservative teaching mode.Essentially,primary school art course is not only a technical course,but also a cultural course.Through exploring,appreciating,cultivating beauty and creativity,primary school students grow healthily in beauty.Therefore,under the new educational background,it is of great significance to improve the art education in primary schools.Therefore,based on the background of education reform in the current era,this paper carries out a research on the current situation of primary art education,analyzes the practical experience of the reform of basic education art curriculum in China,and combines the implementation of the new curriculum,focusing on the analysis of the current situation and existing problems of extracurricular guidance of primary art education.The research results show that there are many problems in primary art education,such as the single function of art curriculum teaching,the inadequate application of teaching resources,and the poor ability of students to cooperate and explore independently.Then,according to the surprise of education construction at home and abroad,this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions for the transformation of art education mode in primary schools under the background ofnew curriculum,mainly including the following: strengthening multi-orientation learning support,enhancing students' interest in learning,enriching classroom content,applying multi-variable education methods,cultivating students' innovative consciousness,enriching art education devices,and strengthening the opening of school roll resources.Develop and abide by the principles of art teaching.Finally,this paper takes the elementary schools in Changchun City of Jilin Province as the carrier,and looks forward to the elementary school art education.
