The development of education is inseparable from teachers,and the improvement of teachers' professional quality is inseparable from that of professional level.As nucleus for entire educational development,secondary school teachers should be concerned and valued by their growth and development.Based on the analysis of related literatures,this study focuses on a specified secondary teacher and uses narrative method to obtain primitive data through interviews,classroom observation and daily teaching courses.With systematic analysis and arrangement of the data,the stories of teacher W are converted into educational events.The internal and external factors which are affecting development of teacher W are analyzed according to educational events.The general development rules of a teacher are summarized from the professional development of teacher W.Therefore,it provides references for other secondary school teachers.This essay consists of five parts.The first part: introduction.It mainly discusses research background,purposes and significance of this thesis.The pre-existing research is teased out and analyzed,the necessity and framework are constructed.The meanings of teachers' professional development and narrative research are clarified.The second part: narrative research.This part shows why we choose teacher W and expounds related educational rules.The third part: stories of teacher W.With in-depth interviews,classroom observations,teaching logs,etc.,the stories of teacher W are about process of growth,students,class courses and the other side of "Me".The four aspects represent professional development stories of teacher W and related key events.The fourth part: analysis of professional development of teacher W.the factors affecting professional development are analyzed from both internal and external aspects.The intrinsic factors mainly include teachers' professional identity,educational sentiment,spontaneous development needs and abilities,and personality traits.The external factors mainly include the family environment,the learning environment,the support of the school principal,and the collaboration among colleagues.The fifth part: explore the professional development enlightenment of the research object.Mainly from the pre-service preparation stage,the entry exploration stage,the plateau stagnation stage,and the successful creation stage,the four stages of the exploration of the research object's professional development enlightenment.
