Key competencies of the subject Chinese demand the cultivation of students' imagination.So the composition teaching should give emphasis to the cultivation and development of students' imagination within the field of key competencies.The general goals of Compulsory Education Chinese Curriculum Standard says that we should endeavor to develop the students' thinking ability while enhancing their language ability,in order to motivate their imagination and creative potential.However,the students lack imagination in writing compositions,especial in the scenery writings,which may be related to the lack of experiences and imaginations.Or the students' emotions cannot be aroused properly even though they viewed the scenery.Based on the current situation,the influential micro-videos come into the writer's mind and I begin to consider how to make micro-videos and how to apply them into the scenery compositions teaching with the purpose of motivate the students' imagination.This thesis concerns the following aspects: i.To have a general understanding and analysis on the research process of micro-videos and to conduct a study on how to cultivate the students' imagination in composition teaching in primary schools.ii.To make a concept definition of micro-videos and imagination and to analyze the development features of students' imagination in writing.iii.To make an analysis of the micro-videos function mechanism which can arouse the students' imagination on scenery.iv.To summarize three types of micro-videos inspiring students' scenery imaginations by analyzing the categories of scenery essays and to put forward the designing ideas of micro-videos from the perspective of teaching design and audio-videos.On the basis above,the writer take a photograph of the material according to the writing content and finish making three types of micro-videos.V.To propose the teaching modal of four circles and five procedures in the scenery composition teaching in primary school and to make a detailed statement of each circle.Vi.To design teaching experiment.The writer conducted a teaching practice in two classes of Grade 5 lasting a period of one month.The writer conducted pretest and post-test on the students' writing and collected the relevant data to judge whether the students' imaginations have been improved significantly.The writer distributed survey paper round the two classes and interviewed the two teachers,which further proves that the application of micro-videos in scenery composition teaching can cultivate the students' imagination.Based on the research above,the present thesis made the conclusion as follows,the micro-videos made according to the design ideas proposed in this research can create a nearly true writing situation,guide students to observe the environment and motivate their imagination.There are also some defects in this research.For example,the artistry of micro-videos can not be presented for the limitation of technology.Considering the particularity of composition teaching,the experiment period is not that enough.Furthermore,the evaluation table is not that authoritative.The aspects above will be improved in the future teaching practice and research.
