Evolution And Consistency Of Population And Economy In Jiangsu Province

In the past 40 years of reform and opening up,China's economy has developed rapidly,its population has grown steadily,and the issue of coordinated development between population and economy has become increasingly apparent.There are inconsistencies in the spatial distribution of population and economy in China now,which will lead to low resource allocation efficiency and seriously affect the healthy development of the society.As an important province of China,Jiangsu Province's research on its spatial distribution of population and economy is not only conducive to grasping its inherent development law,but also can provide reference for the development of other regions and even the whole country.This paper takes Jiangsu Province as the research area and decomposes it into 63 county units.Firstly,it describes the spatial distribution of population and economy in 3 regions and 63 counties in 2010.Then,through the analysis of provincial concentration factor analysis,center of gravity analysis and county geographic concentration analysis,the spatial evolution of the population,employment structure,gdp and industrial structure was analyzed from 2000 to 2010.According to the population and economic consistency index,the specific development trend of the population and economy matching between the province and the county and the population in the province is discussed.Finally,the reasons for the spatial distribution pattern and evolution of population and economy are analyzed,and measures are proposed.The study found that from the perspective of total population and economic aggregate,Jiangsu Province's population and economy have the characteristics of spatial agglomeration,and this phenomenon becomes more and more obvious with time going on.Economic agglomeration is higher than population agglomeration,but during this decade,the rate of population agglomeration has increased dramatically,even exceeding the rate of economic agglomeration.From the perspective of employment and industrial structure,the changes in the direction and degree of agglomeration have their own characteristics.The consistency of population and economy in Jiangsu Province has become higher and higher in the past ten years,and the matching of population and economy in space is getting higher and higher.Location conditions,historical basis,industrial structure,market environment,development strategy and policies,cultural concepts,and population mobility barriers all have an impact on the spatial distribution and pattern evolution of population and economy in Jiangsu Province.In the future,we should give full play to location advantages and optimize industrial layout,promote industrial upgrading,strengthen the role of the market in resource allocation,implement regionally moderate policies and strategies,break down barriers to population mobility to further improve the spatial distribution of population and economy in Jiangsu Province.
