The professional development of headteachers has been widely accepted by the general public.Undoubtedly,great importance should be attached to it,for it not only concern with the every teacher's individual development but also is related to the progress of the whole social education system.Because the special feature of the high school students,the professional development of high school headteacher might have its unique characteristics.Novice head teachers,who have less than 3 years class-managing experience,is still at the early stage of the professional development.Compared with other experienced head teachers,they have their own unique development characteristics,and face similar educational problems as well as class management confusion.Whether the high school novice headteacher can complete the role of transformation at this stage plays an important part in their career.It is also relates to the health development of high school students and the progress of the country's education.In view of the special status and function of the professional growth of the novice head teacher,we must pay attention to the problems encountered on the professional road.At present,many researches of head teacher professional development are usually based on the deductive reasoning of the teachers' professional development and the head teachers often assume a relatively unified group without any difference.Using qualitative research method,this paper selected the two high-school novice head teachers as the research subjects.After continuously interviewing the subjects,collecting the relevant literature and reflecting on the information,the author are committed to conclude the methods which can help to transform a novice headteacher into a professional one much more effectively.This paper narrates from two aspects:the inner exploration and reflection faced by the head teacher in the novice high school,and the external conflicts in the environment.And then it analyzes the problems which the novice high school head teacher encountered during their process of the professional growth from the internal and external aspects.Finally,specific suggestions and strategies are given for the professional growth of the headteacher in the novice high school.The realization of the professional development of the novice headteacher in high school needs both internal motivation and external assistance.
