Subjective well-being is a comprehensive index used to evaluate the mental health of adolescents. In recent years, researchers have made some explorations on the environment and individual factors that affect the subjective well-being of adolescents, and provided some theoretical support and suggestions for the improvement of individual subjective well-being.Among them, sleep quality has been proved to be closely related to the subjective well-being of junior high school students. However, how sleep quality affects the subjective well-being of junior high school students is rarely discussed, which needs to be further explored.Previous studies have found that emotional regulation is closely related to subjective well-being,and the experience of subjective well-being varies with the different emotional regulation methods adopted by individuals. At the same time, the researchers also found that individuals with better sleep quality were more likely to use positive coping styles, such as cognitive reappraisal, when facing a situation, while individuals with poor sleep quality were more likely to use negative coping styles, such as expression inhibition.Since sleep quality is closely related to the application of emotional regulation, and the application of emotional regulation will affect the individual's experience of subjective well-being,the relationship between sleep quality and subjective well-being can be discussed from the perspective of emotional regulation, and emotional regulation may be an intermediary between sleep quality and subjective well-being.In view of the above found, this study from two ways of emotion regulation that cognitive reappraisal and expression suppression, the sleep quality and explore the possible mechanisms of the relationship between subjective well-being,in order to help different sleep quality of junior middle school students to establish reasonable and effective use of emotion regulation strategy awareness,to enhance the subjective well-being of the junior middle school students to provide certain theoretical support. This study adopts the method of cluster sampling to select junior middle school students from two ordinary middle schools in jinan city, shandong province as research subjects. The Pittsburgh sleep quality index questionnaire, emotion regulation questionnaire, subjective well-being questionnaire and happiness scale were used to investigate the direct prediction effect of sleep quality on happiness, and the mediating effect of emotion regulation strategy on sleep quality and subjective well-being was discussed. The research results are as follows:(1)The grade effect of the subjective well-being of junior high school students' life satisfaction dimension is significant, and the life satisfaction of junior high school students is significantly lower than that of junior high school students. The difference between junior high school students and junior high school students is not significant. The grade effect of junior high school students' sleep quality was significant. The sleep quality of junior high school students in grade one and grade two was better than that in grade three, and there was no significant difference between grade one and grade two.(2)The sleep quality index of junior high school students(the higher the sleep quality index, the worse the sleep quality)was negatively correlated with life satisfaction, positive emotion and cognitive reappraisal, and positively correlated with expression inhibition and negative emotion.Cognitive reappraisal is positively correlated with life satisfaction and positive emotion, and negatively correlated with negative emotion.(3)The sleep quality index of junior middle school students can significantly predict the subjective well-being of junior middle school students.(4)Cognitive reappraisal in emotional regulation plays a partial mediating role between sleep quality and subjective well-being.
