IntroductionEmotion and sleep quality were the two subjects that most closely related to humanlife. Research has showed that there was a significant relation between emotion andsleep quality, and the relation was affected by some mediators. The purpose of thisstudy was to investigate the relation between emotion and sleep quality, and themechanism among colleague students.Methods189Personality type to introversion and extraversion colleague students wererecruited from Harbin Engineering University by Stratified random sampling.Through video cause positive and negative emotions. All participants wereadministrated with self-reported questionnaires, included Eysenck personalityquestionnaire(EPQ), Emotion regulation self-efficacy questionnaire(RES), Positiveand Negative Affect Scale (PANAS) and Sleep log. All data were analyzed by T-testof independent, ANOVA, Pearson correlation, Regression analysis.Results&Conclusions(1) After positive emotional expression, the extraversion`s emotion change issignificantly higher than the introversion. negative emotions significantly reducedafter negative emotional expression.(2) Before the experiment, college students’ sleep efficiency is86.45%. Comparedwith the normal they need more time to fall asleep.(3) No expressing the positive emotions, sleep time and sleep efficiency are allimproved(4) Negative emotions and daytime sleepiness are negatively correlated to sleepquality. Positive emotions and sleep time are negatively related.(5) Emotion regulation of self-efficacy and extraversion-introversion’s interactionhave significant differences in sleep quality.
