Under the background of globalization,how to effectively cultivate the science and technology talents that can adapt to the development of globalization become the major issues for some countries.In recent years,the modern apprenticeship represented by dual-system gradually become vocational education's strategic choice for the modern western countries.In the 1990s,in order to meet the domestic technical talents and the needs of the development of social economy,Canada began to reform the apprenticeship in various provinces.At the same time,in the process of performing apprenticeship is combined with local realities and industry needs,forming a distinctive feature system of apprenticeship,it plays a great role in Canadian talent training and development of economic.Ontario is one of the most representations of Canadian apprenticeship reformation.It has the first scale of apprenticeship training and certification system in Canada and it explores a unique educational concept,technical training,management system and certification system in the process of reforming apprenticeship.These can give some enlightenment and reference on the experienced work of modern apprenticeship for our country.This paper attempts to introduce the Canadian apprenticeship,and takes Ontario as an example to introduce the background and basic system of apprenticeship in Ontario.Then article take an analysis of the Ontario apprenticeship on the basis of the relevant data in the past years and deeply analyzed the problems and reformations in the development of apprenticeship.It provides enlightenment for the development and practice of modern apprenticeship in China.
