As the second language of geography, map is not only an important carrier of geography knowledge and information, but also a main tool of geography for teaching in senior high school. With the development of information technology and the advancement of new curriculum reform, the disadvantages of traditional paper-based static maps are becoming more and more obvious, and the electronic maps used in geography teaching in senior high schools are unable to play their due functions because of the lack of dynamic and interactive features.Against this background, the rapid development of dynamic map provide a new opportunity for the change of geography teaching map.In this paper, the application of dynamic map in high school geography teaching is studied, the purpose is to break the limitation of traditional paper static map, enrich teaching content, innovate teaching methods, and provide reference for the improvement of geography map teaching methods in senior high schools by using new maps with strong dynamic expression ability. The main work of this paper is as follows:(1)The concept of dynamic map for teaching was defined by comparing the electronic map, animated map, dynamic map,and other map forms.Based on the characteristics of dynamic maps and the actual teaching needs, the classification system of dynamic maps is constructed, including Temporal and non-temporal dynamic maps,Raster and vector dynamic map,and Interactive and non-interactive dynamic maps.By analyzing the content of dynamic map expression, the main functions of dynamic map are summarized, such as process reproduction, motion simulation and distribution display.(2)Based on the analysis of relevant research status, this paper conducts a questionnaire survey on 'the cognition and application of dynamic maps by high school geography teachers' in China. This paper summarizes the practical basis of using dynamic maps in high school geography teaching, such as the general subjective willingness of geography teachers to use dynamic maps, and the gradual improvement of audio-visual education environment in high school.Challenges in the application of dynamic map teaching are analyzed, such as the general low level of mapping of geography teachers, the lack of dynamic map resource database matching high school geography textbooks, and so on.Aiming at the problems existing in the application ofdynamic map, this paper points out that teachers, schools and society should be concentrated to promote the popularization of dynamic map in high school geography teaching.(3)Aiming at the shortage of dynamic map teaching resources, which is the main obstacle affecting the use of dynamic map, this paper systematically summarizes the acquisition ways and production methods of dynamic map.For example, geographic teachers can obtain ready-made dynamic map resources through national dynamic map network, sky map and other networks. They can also use Arc Map,Map Tells and other software,Ditu Hui,Geo Hey,Zhitu Network and other network mapping platforms to draw dynamic maps by themselves.(4)The knowledge points that can use dynamic map in the compulsory textbooks of Geographic People's Education Press of senior high school are screened out.On the basis of teaching theory and practical application, five application strategies based on dynamic map teaching are put forward, such as 'designing research topics, conducting inquiry-based teaching ' and 'organizing students to carry out dynamic cartography experiments '.In addition, through typical cases, the process of applying dynamic map to high school geography teaching is demonstrated and analyzed concretely, and the process and results of practice are rethought,so as to further improve the application of dynamic map.
