Historical materialism is the first of the five historical core qualities in senior high school,which has a theoretical guiding effect on the evaluation teaching of historical figures in senior high school.This paper discusses the application of historical materialism in the evaluation teaching of high school historical figures.First of all,this paper expounds the basic content of historical materialism and its important position in the evaluation teaching of high school historical figures,mainly from the perspective that historical materialism is a scientific conception of history,and that historical materialism is the soul of guiding the core accomplishment of history teaching in senior high schools.Historical materialism is the core index of high school history assessment,which is analyzed from these three angles.Secondly,this paper discusses the concrete application of historical materialism in the evaluation teaching of high school historical figures,one is from the perspective of social existence and social consciousness.The second is to evaluate historical figures from the angle of contradictory movement of productive forces and production relations,and the third is to evaluate historical figures from the point of view of social and historical creators.The fourth is to evaluate historical figures from the angle of class antagonism and class struggle.Then,three principles should be followed in the evaluation teaching of historical figures in senior high school,namely dialectical analysis principle,objective analysis principle and comprehensive analysis principle.Finally,the author designs the teaching design of the fourth selection of Chinese and foreign historical figures,lesson 3,the male Lion Napoleon,and demonstrates how to use historical materialism to evaluate the historical figures.
