In high school history teaching,eachers tend to neglect the cultivation of historical materialism,students mechanically remember some principles of historical materialism,and lack the ability to analyze and solve problems with historical materialism.In August 2017,the Ministry of Education promulgated a new curriculum standard for history in senior high schools.Historical materialism has become one of the core qualities that students must possess.Historical materialism is an important part of Marxism and an important methodology to help students understand history and the world.With this as the background,this paper launches a research on the cultivation of historical materialism in history teaching in senior high school.Firstly,the article defines the concept of historical materialism,clarifies the requirements for the cultivation of historical materialism in senior high school history teaching,and expounds the significance of cultivating students' historical materialism in senior high school history teaching.Secondly,based on the first-hand data obtained from questionnaires and interviews,the paper uses data statistics to reveal the problems existing in the cultivation of historical materialism in high school history teaching,and to analyze the reasons behind the problems.Finally,based on the problems found,the paper puts forward some suggestions and methods to improve the cultivation of students' historical materialism in history teaching in senior high school.
