Mathematics competition is an important component of mathematics education in middle school,it is also an important platform to improve students' thinking level and mathematics ability.The thinking method in mathematics competition is the understanding of the essence of mathematics knowledge and the basic strategy to solve mathematics problems.In mathematics competition activities,the strategy of solving problems is helpful for teachers to transform the teaching philosophy.In the teaching,teachers shall focus on the students' learning process,strengthen the students' thinking training,cultivate the students' inquiry awareness and mathematics ability,so as to promote the reform of the middle school teaching mode and improve the teaching quality.By combing relevant literature,this dissertation reveals that mathematics competition is closely related to mathematics teaching in middle school.Specifically,mathematics teaching in middle school is the foundation of mathematics competition,and mathematics competition is an extension of mathematics teaching in middle school.The specific contents that this paper studies are as follows:(1)briefly analyzes the joint competition questions of junior high school and high school mathematics in the past five years,and explains the characteristics of the mathematics competition by combining specific examples;(2)Combining the specific content of the competition,it analyzes eight common problem-solving methods and applications in mathematics competitions;(3)integrate the content of mathematics competition into teaching,in order that the thinking method of mathematics competition can be penetrated into classroom teaching skillfully;(4)Put forward teaching strategies to promote mathematics teaching in middle school.Through analyzing the characteristics of mathematical competition,the thinking method in solving problems and reflecting on teaching cases,then it can promote the development of middle school mathematics teaching.It proposes the following teaching strategies to promote mathematics teaching in middle school,that is,change the educational concept in teaching,cultivate students' inquiry awareness,pay attention tostudents' learning process,and attach importance to the development of students' ability;In the teaching,use the definition theorem,the classical example question to infiltrate into the mathematics thinking method,and summarize mathematics thinking method in the exercise;Integrate the content of mathematical competition into the teaching,select the mathematical competition questions in the expanding training,at the same time,establish the mathematical competition study group to satisfy the development of students with redundant learning abilities,and set up the elective courses of grade-level mathematical competition.
