"Parents are there,there is still a place in life;when parents go,life is only the way to return."Family,is the warmest feeling we have experienced in this world.Home is where we start to connect with the world.Parent-child relationship is the beginning of all interpersonal relationships on our way to growth.In China,parent-child relationships have always been a topic of relish.In today’s society,the concern for parent-child relationships is even higher.In particular,the broadcast of the parent-child variety show,such as "The Metamorphosis","The Boy’s Saying","The Test Is Not Good",has triggered the citizens’ thinking about the current"Chinese-style" parent-child relationship.According to the White Paper on Parent-Child Relations in Domestic Families,43.54%of families believe that there are many problems in parent-child relationship in China,41.16%of families think that it is optimistic in general,but there are problems,and only 8.84%of families think that the situation is good.It can be seen that there are some problems in the parent-child relationship of "Chinese-style"families.With the continuous popularity of mobile smart-phones and networks,new media such as We-chat began to intervene in the daily communication of family members.The intervention of We-chat has transformed the direct communication between parents and children into the indirect communication between people,media and people.It has broken the communication limitation between parents and children,and has been welcomed by many families.At the same time,the diversified use of We chat and its unique mode of communication not only have an impact on the information dissemination between parents and children,but also have a far-reaching impact on the interaction between the two generations.In this study,493 college students were studied,and the influence of We-chat on their parent-child relationship was studied through questionnaire survey.At the same time,SPSS 17.0 statistical analysis software was used for data analysis,and the influence of We-chat on parent-child relationship was explored by means of quantitative research.In order to ensure the scientific and rigorous nature of the entire study,the author also conducted in-depth interviews with the top 5 students and their parents.In this paper,the author’s main research question is to explore the influence of We-chat on parent-child relationship.We use "We-chat" and "parent-child relationship" as research variables,and analyze the use of We-chat to college students and their parents from the aspects of function use and motivation of We-chat.The impact of the parent-child relationship.At the same time,the author also studies the influence of We-chat on the self-disclosure of college students from the perspective of the use function and motivation of We-chat,so as to explore the connection between self-disclosure and parent-child relationship of college students.According to the data analysis,the author draws the following four conclusions:First,the demographic variables have an impact on the We-chat use behavior and parent-child relationship maintenance;Second,there is a strong correlation between the use behavior of college students’ We-chat and parent-child relationship.There is a positive correlation between the functions of We-chat and the parent-child relationship,that is,the more the functions are used,the more harmonious the parent-child relationship is.At the same time,there is a positive correlation between the motivation of using We-chat and the parent-child relationship,that is,the stronger the motivation is,the more harmonious the parent-child relationship is.Third,the use of We-chat by college students will strongly affect the self-disclosure of college students,and the more the function is used,the self-exposure The more obvious,the more intense the motivation for use,the more obvious the disclosure of self;Fourth.there is a positive correlation between the self-disclosure of college students’We-chat and parent-child relationship.Among them,the more self-disclosure,the more harmonious the parent-child relationship.This research is based on self-disclosure theory,social penetration theory,and use and satisfaction theory.The first two theories emphasize the importance of self-disclosure for the development of intimate relationships.The empirical research conclusions and in-depth interviews on the influence of We-chat on parent-child relationship are also in line with the theory’s interpretation of intimacy.The use of We-chat media by college students promotes the self-disclosure of college students.It positively affects the parent-child relationship between college students and their parents,and obtains emotional satisfaction.The more We-chat is used,the more harmonious the parent-child relationship is.
