Since the 21 st century,STSE education has become increasingly prominent in the cultivation of civic quality.,sustainable development education has become an important topic in basic education,the country is strongly calling for the promotion of scientific literacy,and the urgent need for educational reform to change learning methods and teaching models.The important role of STSE comprehensive practice activities began to emerge.It emphasizes that students should form an active awareness of social hot issues in their activities,and develop students' practical and innovative abilities through problem solving to promote students' all-round development.This research focuses on how to implement the STSE comprehensive practical activity in high school chemistry teaching with the help of Project-Based Learning.The author used literature method,experimental method and other research methods to carry out some relevant research.Firstly,through theoretical design,the author clarified the general framework of STSE comprehensive practical activity in high school chemistry teaching,including the components and implementation steps,and summarized the characteristics(openness,reality,practicality and production)that the theme of the activity needs to satisfy.The themes of comprehensive practical activities suitable for STSE education are designed around the content of high school chemistry textbooks,and four strategies are needed in the implementation of activities: advance organizer strategy,self-management strategy,activity observation strategy and multi-evaluation strategy..Secondly,the author applies theoretical research to practice and conducts an empirical study: taking two classes in the first grade of Chongqing XX Middle School as experimental subjects(divided into experimental classes and control classes),and implemented an STSE comprehensive practical activity by PBL in the experimental class,the control class carries on the teaching according to the traditional teaching method.Through the detection of learning effects and multi-evaluation of the activity,the auther affirmed the superiority of the theory: the implementation of STSE comprehensive practical activity based on PBL can promote the formation of students' scientific literacy and improve their comprehensive application of knowledge,it is also conducive to the cultivation of students' practical ability.Finally,based on some problems in this practice,the author also puts forward some relevant suggestions: schools should improve the management mechanism of comprehensive practical activity courses.Chemistry teachers should dig deep into the STSE education content in the textbooks,change the traditional design methods of classroom teaching,and strive to improve students' autonomy in the process of STSE comprehensive practical activities.
