Developing students'core quality is the top priority of education reform,and STSE education is playing an increasingly prominent role in the cultivation of citizens'quality.Chemistry project-based teaching based on STSE education highlights the design of real situations related to STSE and the concept of student-centered.It is a teaching method to promote the all-round development of students,and it is also an important way to develop the core quality and cultivate the key ability and essential quality.Therefore,the construction of project teaching mode of high school chemistry based on STSE education provides a new path to achieve the goal of literacy,promote the transformation of students'learning mode and teaching and learning evaluation method,and explore new teaching mode.This study focuses on high school chemistry teaching,and with the help of STSE education-based high school chemistry project-based teaching mode,two topics related to the knowledge of elemental compounds,"Explore the Principle of Water Purification and Disinfection in Waterworks"and"Properties and Transformation of Fe2+and Fe3+",were preliminaries discussed At the same time,we carry out related research by using the method of documentary?interview and case study.First of all,according to the theoretical research,the project learning mode of chemistry based on STSE education was proposed,and the situation related to STSE was created by taking the research content as an example.According to the four stages of project learning design:project preparation,roject implementation,project achievement display,and project evaluation,two teaching cases around the theme content are designed in accordance with the principles of authenticity,feasibility,student-centered and inspiration.It reflects the concept of student-centered project-based teaching based on STSE education in high school.Secondly,two teaching case designs were applied to two classes of the same level(experimental class and control class)in the first grade of a middle school,and sub-tasks were set to drive students to carry out learning activities in groups and conduct teaching practice.It also combines the process evaluation with the terminal evaluation,and the students'self-evaluation with the peer evaluation with the teachers'evaluation,and give full play to the function of evaluation to promote the all-round development of students'core accomplishment of chemistry.Finally,through the test results of academic performance of students interview and the evaluation of the teaching process reflect and summarize.The results show that the project teaching based on STSE education can promote the development of students'thinking,and drive students to construct knowledge.It cultivates students'ability of scientific inquiry,sense of social responsibility and ability of information collection,which is an important way to develop students'core quality of chemistry and according to the teaching practice,this paper puts forward some reference suggestions for the project activities,and summarizes and looks forward to the project teaching.
