Life education,which is concerning the students' growth process,should be starting from their inner world to cultivate their correct life cognition,positive life emotion,tenacious life will and healthy life behavior,to help students build a healthy and positive spirit world,and to guide them treasure life and strive for the realization of life value eventually.As a special period of growth,the stage of junior high school is so important for the formation of the students' outlook on life,world and values,as well as for life education.The Morality and Rule of Law Course,the main channel for moral cultivation and life education in junior high school,takes the responsibility of guiding the students to understand the phenomenon of life and highlighting the value of their life to achieve the harmonious development of individual life and the lives of others.Meanwhile,it focuses on the procedure of improving students' ideological and political qualities and moral qualities.Edited and published by the Ministry of Education,the content and status of life education in the textbook of seventh grade have changed greatly,which provides an opportunity for life education.Therefore,it is particularly important to strengthen life education in the teaching of Morality and Rule of Law Course.This thesis,starting from the meaning of life education,analyzes the significance of life education in the course of Morality and Rule of Law,probes into the major problems as well as the causes in it and puts forward the countermeasures.This thesis consists of the following parts:The first part is introduction.It introduces the background of topic selection,research significance,research status at home and abroad,research ideas and methods,as well as the key points and innovation points of this paper.The second part overviews the life education including meaning,theories and its significance.Firstly,it defines the concepts of life,life education and the life education in the course of Morality and Rule of Law.Secondly,it expounds the theoretical basis of life education in Morality and Rule of Law Course,which are Marxist life values,philosophy of life in Chinese traditional culture and western humanistic psychology.The profound exposition of the relevant theoretical issues of life education in this part lays a foundation for the discussion of life education in the following parts.Finally,it discusses the significance of strengthening life education in Morality and Rule of Law Course in junior high school.Strengthening life education can promote not only the physical and mental health development of junior high school students and the development of people-oriented quality education,but also the harmonious development of society.The third part analyzes the problems and the causes of life education in Morality and Rule of Law Course in junior high school.As for the main problems,this thesis analyzes from the aspects of some teachers' weak concept of life education,the insufficient teaching materials,single teaching methods and incomplete teaching evaluation methods.Then this thesis analyzes the causes from three aspects.China's life education is just in the stage of exploration;utilitarianism in school is a constraint on the development of life education;and some teachers' specialization level in life education is comparatively low.Only if the main problems and causes of life education are thoroughly analyzed,can we put forward specific and effective measures for the implementation of life education in this course.The fourth part focuses on the countermeasures from five perspectives.Combining the characteristics and advantages of Morality and Rule of Law Course,this thesis puts forward some concrete strategies to implement life education in the course.First,teachers' life education quality should be improved and the teachers group shoule be strengthened by setting up concept of life education and improving teschers' ability of life education as well as establishing harmonious relations between students and teachers.Second,the contents of life education in textbooks should be integrated and perfected by adding sex education and strengthening education in death,man and nature and life safety.Third,teaching methods should be enriched to improve the effectiveness of life education by adopting experiential teaching method,case teaching method and designing more practical activities for students.Fourth,teaching evaluation should be more diverse to promote the all-round development of students by realizing the diversification of evaluation subjects and methods,and the integration of evaluation contents.Fifth,a social life network system should be built to form educational synergy by strengthening the feelings of “life” in school environment,creating harmonious family environment and exploring more life education resources from the society.
