Reading not only enables people who want to get knowledge to receive more knowledge,but also makes those who have no knowledge become knowledgeable.Reading is a kind of habit,a felling of pleasure,a sort of enjoy.It is a long and endless self-education.As far as extracurricular reading concerned,it plays an important part in Chinese learning of junior high school.The language education community has been paying more attention to the reading.However,the development of reading activities is not optimistic,especially in the rural junior high Schools.The extracurricular reading is ignored because of backward educational development.In this case,This paper takes Dalangdian Junior High School as an example to explore and study relevant strategies to improve extracurricular reading of rural junior high school students.It is mainly elaborated from four parts.The first part describes the introduction.This chapter introduces the background,related concepts and current research.The relevant research data at home and abroad are sorted out and analyzed,The significance of the study is pointed out.It lays a foundation for the following investigation and research.The second part is the first chapter,By means of questionnaire and interview analysis,the extracurricular reading situation of students who are from Dalangdian Junior High School in Nanpi county was investigated.The reason of its existing problems is analyzed.It provides a basis for the next step of strategies' exploration.The third part consists of chapter two and chapter three.Firstly,according to the survey and analysis in the previous chapter and combining with the psychological characteristics of students,the author points out the tendency of reading habits and guiding principles of extracurricular reading of rural junior high school students.On this basis,I conclude three aspects which can improve students' related strategies of extracurricular reading.The first is mainly about how to make the student learn to read.The second aspect describes how to enable students to become the reading expert.What's more,the last aspect is trying to let the student's life be full of reading.This research focuses on these three aspects.The fourth part includes the fourth chapter.This chapter introduces how to use the relevant strategies to explore extracurricular reading activities during the Chinese class in Dalangdian Junior High School.
