With the acceleration of the popularization of higher education in China,the acceptance of higher education amona young people is on the rise,and their educational expectations have changed in recent years.However,the dropout rate of adolescents in China is still high,especially in poor areas of China.Studying the problem of teenagers'education expectations is of great significance to help solve the phenomenon ofjuvenile dropouts and guide young people to establish correct value orientations.At the same time,more and more studies show that education expectation is closely related to family capital,and the study of family's role in educational expectations is increasingly prominent.Among them,social capital as one of the important factors affecting psychological state,does social capital have impact on teenagers'education expectations?This is the problem that this article should focus on.In addition,in the contemporary era,what are the expectations of teenagers,education in China,and what factors influence the teenagers'education expectations and what role does social capital play in teenagers5 education expectations?These issues deserve our in-depth study.Through the"China Family Tracking Survey"data for 2010 and 2016(CFPS2010 and CFPS2016),this paper studies the expectations of adolescent education in China and its relationship with social capital by describing statistical methods,comparative analysis methods,and establishing multiple regression models.In order to have an im-depth understanding of the status and influencing factors of teenagers'education in recent years,the differences in the characteristics of different groups of teenagers education expectations,and the impact of social capital on teenagers'education expectations.The research found that:1.the expectation of education of adolescents in China has changed in 2010 and 2016,but the degree of change is small.Overall.teenagers education expectations are better,and their education expectations have increased as the years have increased.2.Adolescents who are expected to obtain higher education have declined in both horizontal and vertical comparisons.This shows that Chinese adolescents have greater expectations for their future education,but their tendency to pursue higher education has decreased.3.There are significant differences in sociological characteristics of the population in adolescent education expectations.Specifically,firstly,there are gender differences in adolescent education expectations.that is.the education expectation of female adolescents is higher than that of male adolescents.However,there are certain male preferences in the high-educational expectation of master and doctoral.Second,there are obvious urban-rural differences in adolescent education expectations.Among them,the education expectations of adolescents with non-agricultural hukou are higher.Third,there is an age difference in adolescent education expectations.As the age increases,the teenagers' education expectations Decreased,and its preference for high academic education expectations is significantly reduced.In addition,adolescent education expectations have certain regional differences.4.Social capital is an important factor affecting the expectations of teenagers' education.The more social capital a teenager has,the higher their education expectations.5.Family social capital affects young people's education expectations.The more frequent adolescents talk with their parents about personal affairs,the higher their parents' educational expectations,and the stronger their education expectations.Specifically,the higher the frequency with which parents talk to their children about school,the more times children talk to their parents,the higher their parents' expectations for their academic qualifications and academic performance,the higher their child's education expectations.6.Community social capital affects teenagers' education expectations to a certain extent.The main manifestation is that the migration of family residences for the education of adolescents has a significant impact on their education expectations.Young people who have migrated from their homes have higher educational expectations than those who have not migrated.7.Social relationship capital is an important factor affecting teenagers' education expectations.Adolescents who are student cadres have higher educational expectations than non-student cadres and teenagers.Parents whose political outlook is a party member have higher education expectations than those whose parents are politically non-party.
