With the continuous advancement and deepening of the history curriculum reform in middle school,the value and function of historical materials teaching in the middle school history class are more and more obvious.Based on the new requirements of historical materials teaching and the current situation and existing problems of historical materials teaching,the teaching methods and teaching process of historical materials teaching need to be further optimized and perfected.With the rapid rise of the theory of information processing in cognitive psychology,Gagne applied it to teaching research,he put forward the information processing model based on learning and memory,constructed the general process of learning through the flow of information from receiving to storing and outputting,and got the recognition and favor of the majority of educators by stages.Based on the research of "The theory of the process of adding Nirvana to the teaching of historical materials in middle school",through the document method,this paper combs the research results of information processing theory in the current classroom teaching,and combines the Gagne information processing learning theory into the teaching process of history classroom teaching design and historical material teaching.At the same time,this paper explains the students’ learning activities by using the process model of information processing,and puts forward the teaching strategies which have the characteristics of historical materials teaching and conform to the characteristics of history discipline.By thinking about the significance and insufficiency of the application of the theory of information processing in the historical materials teaching,this paper sums up and puts forward the corresponding suggestions,in order to improve the teaching quality of historical materials teaching in the middle school history class,so as to realize the value and function of historical materials teaching better.
