The high school stage is an important period of student development,during which students are faced with important learning tasks.As a result of the study pressure and the study time tension causes the high school student to participate in the movement insufficiency,but the movement insufficiency produces the negative influence to the high school student physical and mental health.It is an important problem to seek a kind of physical exercise suitable for the characteristics of high school students.Based on the analysis of the learning and living characteristics of high school students,this study takes rope skipping as an appropriate physical exercise program.According to the purpose of this study,the effects of rope skipping on the physical and mental quality of high school students were analyzed by means of literature,investigation,experiment,mathematical statistics and logical analysis.This paper demonstrates the effects of rope skipping on high school students’ physical coordination,agility,strength,speed,cardiopulmonary function,psychological quality and other aspects,so as to provide reference for the further implementation of rope skipping in high school.In the specific research work arrangement,this study grasps the changes of students’ physical function through the measurement of pulse and the measurement of vital capacity,and get to know the changes in the physical fitness of the students through 10 meters of reentry,pull-ups,standing long jump,sitting body flexion,800 meters(girls),1000 meters(boys)and the standing-up test,and test the students’ psychological condition according to the Mental Health Scale for Middle School Students(MSSMHS).Through the changes of indicators before and after the experiment,the influence of skipping exercise on the physical and mental quality of high school students was analyzed.The results show that skipping exercise can promote the physical function,physical quality and mental health of high school students to some extent.Through further analysis and summary of the research results,the study draws the following conclusions:(1)The skipping exercise has a positive effect on the cardiopulmonary function of high school students.The specific performance is significant for male heart function and female lung function.(2)The skipping exercise has obvious effects on the physical fitness of high school students,which is manifested in the significant and obvious promotion of the lower limb strength,speed quality,coordination quality and sensitive quality of boys and girls.(3)The skipping exercise can effectively relieve students’ psychological stress,and has obvious relief effects on students’ learning pressure,hostility,interpersonal relationship improvement,anxiety and boys’ psychological imbalance.It has certain relief effects on obsessive-compulsive symptoms,paranoia,depression,maladaptation,emotional instability,and psychological imbalance of girls.(4)The factors affecting the overall physical and mental health effects of skipping exercises for high school students include: the time,frequency and intensity of exercise;the basic quality training arrangement of skipping rope being not in place;the insufficiency of the use of psychological promotion in the development of students’ psychological quality.The measures that need to be taken to address the problems include: ensuring that the time,frequency,and intensity of exercise to meet the standards;and adopting more reasonable psychological promotion means.(5)Through teaching experiments,compared with football,basketball,volleyball,softball,aerobics and other projects,it has been proved that skipping as the teaching content of high school physical education,also has a certain promotion effect on students’ physical and mental quality,but due to the outstanding characteristics of skipping sports,it has a more obvious promotion effect on the physical and psychological aspects of the students.The skipping exercise can be selected as a suitable teaching content in the high school physical education class.
