Middle and long distance running is an important part of the senior grade of primary school physical education textbooks,which has great exercise value.It can strengthen students physique,improve their cardiopulmonary function,and cultivate students' good qualities such as hardship,endurance,tenacity and perseverance.Middle and long distance race is a compulsory item in National Physical Health Standard.In sports teaching and activities,because of the characteristics of middle and long distance running and the problems of teachers' teaching methods,participants are prone to be afraid of difficulties,and even to the embarrassing situation of "running in the wind and losing courage".In reality,the middle and long distance running courses are mostly for the purpose of testing and meeting the standards of assault training,students can not get physical exercise,do not experience the fun of running.In practical teaching,the methods of professional training for middle and long distance running are not suitable for the characteristics of pupils,or the training methods for pupils are few.The above problems can be solved by using game method.However,there are few games in classroom teaching for middle and long distance running,or the application of games does not aim at the middle and long distance running project,which makes the teaching of middle and long distance running stop all the time at the primary stage.Stagnation,even for various reasons,led to the decline of the overall level of middle and long distance running performance of primary school students in our country.Based on my own front-line teaching experience,this paper analyses middle and long distance running events,renews ideas,changes thinking,and integrates sports games into middle and long distance running teaching,and explores the application methods and values of sports games in middle and long distance running teaching from different perspectives.The results show that the use of game teaching in middle and long distance race is conducive to improving students' interest,improving students' cognition of middle and long distance race,developing students' quality,and achieving middle and long distance race skills.At the same time,it can enrich teaching means and shorten the distance between teachers and students.The application of sports games in middle and long distance running teaching has achieved ideal teaching effet.
