China has stepped into the aging society since 1999.With the speeding up of an aging population and the development of social economy,in constant transformation and upgrading of pension service industry in China,and the elderly service and management professionals demand is growing.The service needs of old people from the past simple life care escalated into the diversification of spiritual demand,and this is undoubtedly for the elderly services and management industry enterprise staff put forward the higher post professional ability request.Students majoring in senior service and management in secondary vocational schools,as the main force of employees in enterprises engaged in the elderly care industry,need to continuously improve their professional ability to better adapt to the service needs of the elderly and the professional ability needs of the job.The study of specialized courses is an effective way to improve students' professional ability,while the course setting affects the quality and professional ability of the students trained by the major.Therefore,secondary vocational schools should constantly adjust the curriculum of service and management for the elderly to meet the needs of enterprises in the elderly service industry for professional talents.The main innovation of this research lies in the research object and research perspective.Currently,there are few researches related to the service and management of the elderly,and the research object is mainly the professional construction,while this research chooses the professional curriculum setting as the research object.From the research perspective,this study based on the competence-based vocational education thought of secondary vocational school elderly services and management professional curriculum.It makes comprehensive use of methods such as literature research,text analysis,questionnaire survey and interview.Firstly,it sorts out relevant research literature and defines core concepts such as competency standard and curriculum setting.Then this study posted the demand for professional talents,post professional ability demand and secondary vocational school elderly services and management professional curriculum present situation to carry on the investigation,The author founds that the curriculum setting of senior service and management major in secondary vocational schools is not clear,the curriculum structure is not reasonable,and the curriculum content is not standardized.The author finds that the main causes are the lack of research and analysis on the vocational ability requirements of the corresponding positions,the improper concept of curriculum setting and the incomplete system of curriculum setting.Based on the concept of competency-based vocational education,this study puts forward relevant optimization suggestions on the curriculum setting of senior service and management major in secondary vocational schools from three aspects,including curriculum objective,curriculum structure and curriculum content.First of all,secondary vocational schools need to clarify the job capacity requirements of pension industry enterprises;Secondly,it should change the concept of the curriculum of senior service and management.Thirdly,it must integrate the professional curriculum structure based on the concept of competency standard.Fourth,it should refer to the teaching standards to improve the curriculum structure;Fifth,it needs to arrange course contents according to the development needs of enterprises in the pension industry.Finally,it also needs to perfect the curriculum system according to the actual situation of the region.
