Vocational education is closely linked to the development of society andeconomy in our country. To improve the level of vocational education, teachers ofvocational education play a decisive role. Therefore, how to cultivate high qualityvocational teachers has become a hot topic of scholars in recent years. The training ofspecialty teachers has drawn more attention. The theoretical studies of curriculumhave shown that specialty teachers’curriculum provision of secondary vocationalschool is at the core of vocational education. Scientific and practical curriculum has apivotal role to improve the teaching ability and practical ability of specialty teachers,which also contributes to the professional development of the specialty teachers atsecondary vocational school. Above all, A systematic study about professionalcurriculum of specialty teachers at secondary vocational school has importanttheoretical and practical significance.In view of this, study takes a few of typical of Vocational Technical TeachersColleges as examples, which train vocational teachers. Electrical professional trainingprogram of some Vocational and Technical Teachers Colleges are investigated.Curriculum and curriculum content selection are analyzed and its problems andcauses are summarized. The study found that the overall structure of vocationalteachers’curriculum in our country is unreasonable. It mainly manifested in that thetheoretical courses and required courses are relative surplus but a serious shortage ofpractical courses and required courses. And professional courses and public coursesare also relative surplus. Education Courses are serious shortage. Elective Coursecategories are single and lack of educational elective courses. Practical courses arenot practical. Practical courses of teaching were paid no attention and lack ofprofessional teaching theory courses. Therefore, the structure of teacher educationprograms of vocational teacher should be optimized, disciplines of basic coursesshould be integrated, professional courses should be appropriately reduced, elective courses categories and weightings should be increased, practical courses should bestrengthened, educational programs should be emphasized, and the creation ofprofessional teaching methods courses should be increased. the importance ofeducation practical course should be recognized, then the teachers truly possess trinityof nature of academic, pedagogical skills and technicality. According to its owncharacteristics of electrical engineering in Vocational and Technical Teachers Collegeand the requirements of the electrified professional teachers, some suggestions are putforward from recruitment, curriculum and course content selection recommendations.At last, in order to provide reference for Vocational Teacher Education Institutions,the teacher education programs of electrical engineering specialty of VocationalTechnical Teachers Colleges are designed.
