| With the vigorous development of China’s hotel industry,there is a large demand for talents,and hotel talents trained in secondary vocational schools are still an important source of labor.However,the quality of talents in many secondary vocational schools is not optimistic.Hotel management graduates generally show problems such as poor job adaptability and lack of comprehensive professional ability.The main reason for the investigation is that the vocational hotel management professional curriculum is deeply affected by the three-stage curriculum model,which leads to the disconnection of professional knowledge and job skills of the students trained in the existing curriculum system,and it is difficult to adapt to the job quickly.Faced with the dilemma of low quality of talent training,this study analyzes the problems and causes of the hotel management professional courses in secondary vocational schools from the perspective of competence-based vocational education,and puts forward relevant suggestions based on competency standards.Suggestions for professional courses in hotel management in secondary vocational schools.On the basis of combing the relevant research on competency-based courses,this paper takes the teachers and students of hotel management major in A Secondary Vocational School and the staff of 12 hotels in Nanjing are the subjects of the investigation,and analyzes the textbook of the hotel management major teaching plan.Obtain main job positions and vocational abilities through investigation of hotel personnel;on the basis of analyzing the teaching plan of hotel management major in secondary vocational schools,interview professional teachers to understand the training goals,course structure,course content status of hotel management major;Hotel management graduates conducted a questionnaire survey to understand the graduates’ professional ability in the hotel and the satisfaction of the curriculum.Combined with the ability-based vocational education ideas,the professional competence requirements of hotel management majors and the current situation of curriculum setting are analyzed,and it is found that the curriculum of hotel management majors in secondary vocational schools exists: unclear competence objectives in training specifications,mismatch between course structure and professional competence,courses The content and ability requirements do not match.The reasons for investigating the existing problems include: the curriculum settingdoes not follow the ability-based vocational education concept,the curriculum setting does not investigate and evaluate the occupational needs,and the curriculum setting security system is not perfect.Finally,on the basis of ability,I put forward suggestions on the curriculum design of the hotel management major in secondary vocational schools: adhere to the concept of ability-based vocational education,clarify the goal of ability-oriented training;construct the course structure based on ability,apply modular course structure,course type and the sequence of courses should be rationalized and scientific;a reasonable course development team should be formed to write teaching materials based on ability;and a guarantee mechanism for effective implementation of course setting should be constructed. |
