In December 2016,President Xi Jinping emphasized the importance of building family education and raising family education to a new level of governance and social governance when meeting with the first national representative of civilized families.Parents should be guided to actively learn family education methods,increase communication between parents and children,and be good guides for children.Nine departments,such as the All-China Women's Federation and the Ministry of Education,issued the Five-Year Plan on Guiding and Promoting Family Education(2016-2020).The plan states:"Parents'main responsibility for family education should be strengthened,and parents should be educated and guided to pay attention to the cultivation of children's good quality,healthy personality and good habits.Strengthen family parent-child education,parent-child interaction,parent-child reading research and guidance.Under the background that the state attaches importance to family education,it is of great theoretical and practical value to explore the influence of parents' participation on students' performance.In terms of theoretical value,this study draws on relevant research results at home and abroad,tries to study the basic characteristics of parental participation and its impact on students' academic performance in the context of Chinese culture,further enriches the theoretical literature of parental participation,and provides an effective theoretical basis for the formulation of relevant education policies.In addition,this paper uses quantitative research methods to explore the impact of parents'participation in children's learning and life on their academic performance,which can provide theoretical basis for parents' participation in activities and make parents'participation more effective in promoting students' learning.Practical significance:(1)From the perspective of schools,this study will help schools evaluate school educational activities according to the actual situation by studying the status quo and influencing factors of parents'participation,so that schools can guide parents'participation,improve parents'main responsibility and participation ability in the education of children,and thus give full play to the family.Effectiveness and effectiveness of home-school cooperation projects are guaranteed.(2)From the perspective of family,through the empirical investigation of the relationship between parents'participation and students' performance,this paper provides a way to think about how to improve the effectiveness of parents'participation.Research purposes and contents:Based on the existing research and the data of China Education Panel Survey(CEPS),parents' participation in students' learning and life,communication with students and accompanying with students is comprehensively reflected,and then parents'influence on students in the process of participation is comprehensively reflected.Then,regression analysis of the questionnaire data is carried out to find out the factors that really affect students' academic performance in the participation of parents,and to put forward targeted solutions and suggestions.Research methods:Questionnaire survey:China Education Panel Survey(CEPS)uses questionnaire survey to collect data and information about students' achievement,and parents' participation.Qualitative analysis:in the study,a large number of data collection,questionnaire collection,literature collection are carried out,and these data are systematically collated,classified and summarized.Qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis are carried out on the research characteristics of parental involvement.According to the data obtained from the questionnaire,the participation level of each dimension of parental involvement is determined.It also makes a quantitative analysis of the impact of students'examination results in various disciplines,and draws more accurate conclusions after the analysis.Finally,it makes corresponding analysis of the conclusions and puts forward solutions and suggestions.Descriptive statistics:Visual description of the corresponding variables in the data.Econometrics:The regression method is used to estimate the model of samples.Overall conclusions:(1)In the dimension of parents'participation in children's learning and life,parents' participation in homework exams and watching TV time has a significant positive impact on students'Chinese,mathematics and English scores,and has a greater impact on Mathematics and English.(2)In the dimension of communication between parents and their children,discussing school events with their mothers and their relationship with teachers have significant positive effects on their Chinese,math and English scores.Discussing mood with their fathers has significant positive impact on academic performance.(3)In the dimension of accompanying children,eating dinner with parents have significant positive effects on Chinese,math and English scores,while reading with parents have significant negative effects on Chinese and math scores.Exercising with parents has positive effects on math and English performance.(4)Overall,parents'participation in children's learning is very necessary.To a certain extent,it is conducive to the improvement of children's academic performance and comprehensive quality.Policy recommendations:(1)Appropriate participation should be taken to prevent overdoing.Parents'participation in children's learning and life should be properly grasped,and children should be given a certain degree of freedom,so that they can cultivate their own interests and explore the joy of life.(2)Strengthen communication and pay attention to emotional communication.Parents should communicate with their children regularly,which can not only enhance parent-child relationship,but also improve their children's academic performance in some aspects,and is conducive to the healthy development of their children's physical and mental health.(3)provide children with High-quality companionship.Children's growth process can not be separated from Parents' companionship.High-quality companionship is the communication of the soul.It helps parents to find out the problems encountered by their children in time and make positive guidance,which will be more conducive to their children's learning and growth.(4)Parents and schools should strengthen cooperative management.Parents' meetings provide a platform for schools and families to communicate.
