For young people,home and school are the two most important places to affect their development.Based on the context of the big educational view,the value of home-school cooperation has been becoming increasingly prominent.What has got the most attentions is parental involvement 's influence on academic achievement.Therefore,parental involvement in more time is regarded as a kind of approach or method to promote children's education.Parents' individual feelings,experiences and changes in the process of participation are neglected.At present,the academic circles are less concerned about the impact of parents participating in school education.This study takes Nanjing L Primary School as an example,collecting research data through observation of parental involvement in activities and interview of parents.Specifically speaking,this paper aims to analyze the causes of parental involvement and to present the process of parental participation in school education,and thus to explore what parents has get in their involvement in school education.Research shows that participation in school education is a complicated process of interaction with children,other parents and teachers.Schools attach great importance to the value of home-school cooperation,which provides an external opportunity for parents to participate in school education,and parents has their intrinsic motivations to participate in school education.The first,they hope that through participating in school education,they can know the situation of their children at school.The second,they want to learn the teaching methods of teachers to their abilities of homework tutoring.At last,by involvement in school education,parent want to realize their educational expectation of their children's better study development.Capital advantage gives parents the confidence to participate.In the process of participation,parents interact with children,teachers and other parents.Parent-teacher interaction includes instrumental interaction and emotional interaction.The former has a clear purpose that is children's education.The latter helps to promote the establishment of a good relationship between parents and teachers.In the process of parent-child interaction,parents' behaviors play a role of demonstration education,guiding children to actively behave,and in turn parents can also get support from their children.The content of interaction between parents from different families is usually information exchange and educational experience sharing.At the same time,parental participation is a learning and rewarding process for parents.As a family educator,parents set up the concept of learning,and thus bring about changes in educational behavior,but this change has individual differences.As the participants of school education,from passive “coordinator”,“supporter” to initiative “actor”,parents have improved their participation consciousness.As social persons,parents build relationships with others.The establishment of good parent-child relationship,parent-teacher relationship and parent-child relationship is beneficial to enhance the effect of parents' participation in school education.Based on this,we can promote the participation of parents from the aspects of strengthening the guidance of participation,enhancing the emotional interaction between teachers and parents,and setting up the correct concept of parents.
