Research On The Recruitment Of Secondary Vocational School In Dongguan

Currently,China has entered the ranks of middle-income countries.Manufacturing industry is the main part of national economic construction.At this stage,Chinese economy is in the transitional and critical period of manufacturing industry development.In order to coordinate with the economic development,the government and the Ministry of Education have raised the development of vocational education to a strategic position,and constantly launched public policies to vigorously develop vocational education.In this case,the development of secondary vocational education is still difficult,among which enrollment has become the most important issue affecting the development of secondary vocational education for a long time.This paper analyses the current enrollment situation of secondary vocational schools in Dongguan,and elaborates the dilemma faced by Dongguan secondary vocational schools in the enrollment problem,mainly including the annual loss of full-time junior middle school graduates and the continuous decline of the quality of students in secondary vocational schools.At the same time,through literature research and field study of secondary vocational schools in Dongguan,five main factors result in the current recruitment dilemma.First,the social environment and traditional concepts are not conducive to secondary vocational education.Second,public policies are not conducive to secondary vocational education.Third,the employment market is not conducive to secondary vocational graduates.Fourth,government education planning layout is lagging behind.Fifth,the major construction and management of secondary vocational schools is not attractive enough for students.In order to solve these problems existing in the enrollment of secondary vocational schools,this paper draws on the experience and achievements of developed countries in the development of secondary vocational education.Four solutions are proposed from three perspectives,public management,employment guidance and the economic industry in Dongguan.The four solutions are as following:the central government is expected to establish fund system for secondary vocational education;it is more inclined to secondary vocational education in the formulation and implementation of public policies;the local government of Dongguan city plans the overall layout for vocational education;and increase the publicity of secondary vocational education.It is hoped that these suggestions and measures can solve the problems existing in secondary vocational education.Besides,the government's future overall planning of secondary vocational education can benefit from the measures as well.Therefore,the long-term and stable development of secondary vocational education in Dongguan city can be guaranteed.
