For a new generation of students,the proposal of the core literacy ability of mathematics provides a clear goal for the cultivation to them.Among all mathematical abilities,calculating is one of the most basic capabilities.With background of core literacy,this paper is trying to identify the present situation and problems of seventh grade students'mathematics operation ability.There are two sub-problems to start with:the analysis of computing ability goal and corresponding teaching strategy.For the grade seven students,who had just graduated from primary to lower secondary school,a survey found that there were several problems:1.Students'overall calculating ability is low.They pay less attention to enhance calculating ability,that cause a big problem in mathematics learning.2.The students do not develop the good habits to estimate and calculate.3.The basic knowledge is not solid enough.They are confused with the concept.4.Calculable,but lacking the ability to perform simple calculations.5.Simply judging from the results of tests,there are no significant gender difference in the numeracy between boys and girls,with girls scoring slightly higher than boys on average.6.For parts of students,the over-reliance use of calculators in primary schools has resulted in a lack of numeracy,methods and skills(,and the inability to train well).With a thorough reading of relevant academic writings and research at home and abroad,this paper will further explore the core literacy and mathematics operation ability proposed recently,analyze the development of mathematics operation ability in junior middle school and specify sub-goals.For each sub-goal,this paper will promote teaching strategy to develop arithmetic ability of students,combined with the analysis of typical cases during lecture and practice.In addition,this paper will summarize the practicable teaching strategy:1.Attach importance to the development of students'computational ability by new teaching method.Focus on the teaching of basic knowledge and skills.2.Place emphasis on practice.Cultivate the student's study interest,helping them keep calculation practice to make it a habit.Explore aim-oriented practice training to enhance problem solving.3.Pay attention to the improve students'cognitive on mathematical structure,trying to expand and finally permeate mathematics thought.To sum up,this paper draws on the existing theoretical viewpoint of experts and scholars,research results and practical experience,and combining with their orientation of some teaching thinking in four years,under the background of core literacy,through case analysis put forward some feasible teaching strategies from a new Angle.
