General Technology Curriculum of high school in China is going through a reform and transformation period from sub-discipline to integrated discipline.How to effectively realize curriculum integration and how to develop students' comprehensive abilities and innovation abilities are questions that should be solved.STEAM education has caused widespread concern in recent years.This study attempts to introduce STEAM education into the General Technology Curriculum for specific design and practical research.Firstly,the status quo of STEAM education research is sorted out through the Literature Method,and apply it to the general technical course for feasibility analysis;Then,based on the concept of STEAM,combined with the characteristics of General Technology,I proposed the design framework of STEAM education and teaching;Based on the framework,the teaching design of "Model or Prototype Production"was carried out with the example of the seventh edition of "Study or Prototype" by the Jiangsu Education Edition and Design 1;Then select two classes in the first grade to carry out the teaching implementation,and in practice,analyze the students'learning effects,learning gains through questionnaires,interviews,etc.,draw relevant conclusions and summarize the effectiveness of the program the feasibility of STEAM education in the General Technology Course.Through the feedback of the interview,I drew a conclusion that teachers believe STEAM education can improve students'ability to innovate,but has higher requirements for teachers,a single teacher is not qualified for this job.Students believe that STEAM education can cultivate their innovative spirit and enhance their ability in innovation,cooperation and communication.Through the feedback of the Questionnaire Survey,it is found that the STEAM education can improve students'interest in learning,and promote students to acquire more and more open knowledge points,improve students'communication and coordination skills,so that students'solutions to problems when they encounter many problems have changed.According to this research,applying STEAM education to the General Technology Curriculum can help students improve their integrated abilities and qualities.In order to achieve better teaching results,teachers need to keep studying to adjust to varieties of problems that may occur in the STEAM education.The main disadvantages are as follows:there are not enough students joining in this education system;teaching design and classroom teacher need to be further improved.
