Music is an indispensable subject in school education.It is also a very important course in aesthetic education.Music education in ordinary high schools has been popularized for a long time and has developed steadily and orderly.Presently,under the music curriculum of ordinary senior high schools in our country,most schools set up the curriculum arrangement as a compulsory music appreciation module for senior one or senior two.However,there is no music curriculum arrangement for the entire senior three school year,and only a few schools have set up music classes for senior three students,i.e.using music appreciation classes to help senior three students de-stress without special teaching materials or systematic courses.Because there is no school offering systematic senior three music courses,there are few research documents on senior three music courses in China.With this in mind,in June2011,teacher Liu Xiaonan of Haikou No.1 middle school tried to do practical research on the development of high school senior three music curricula.She used Hainan province's education planning project to explore the characteristic music courses for senior three students,so that students can learn music throughout the duration of their high school experience in order to improve music appreciation ability and music cultural accomplishment.At the same time,it can effectively improve learning efficiency and appropriately relieve the pressure of preparing for the college entrance examination.As a result of the project,Haikou No.1Middle School has shown outstanding teaching achievements and the project has been promoted in three other high schools in Haikou.There is no conflict between the special music curriculum for senior three and the compulsory curriculum for music education in ordinary senior high schools.The basic concept of "Music Curriculum Standard for Ordinary High Schools"(2017 Edition)adds "Enriching Curriculum Selection to Meet Development Needs" [1],which shows that the curriculum of ordinary high schools is becoming more flexible.The curriculum includes optional compulsory courses that incorporate artistic practice,and optional courses that are independently offered by schools.For example,courses such as music appreciation,singing,performance,music editing and creation,music with dance,and music with drama.Then,according to the "Music Curriculum Standard for Ordinary High Schools"(2017 Edition),the music curriculum with the characteristics of Senior Three can be classified as a selective compulsory curriculum.This paper is divided into five main parts.The first part is an introduction which tells the origin,significance,methods and innovations of the research.The second part mainly elaborates on the construction Haikou No.1 Middle School plan.The third part is the actual situation of the development of Haikou's senior three characteristic music curriculum,which covers the implementation of Haikou's senior three characteristic music curriculum in No.1Middle School,the analysis of the teacher-student evaluation questionnaires,and the curriculum promotion of other three high schools in Haikou.The fourth part is the author's in-depth analysis of the teaching benefits of the high school three characteristic music course,and elaborates its advantages from four aspects.In the last part of this article,the author summarizes the existing problems of the project according to the current situation and development of the characteristic music course for senior three,as well as the results of the questionnaire survey,and puts forward corresponding solutions to the problems.The author hopes that through the writing of this paper,the high school three characteristic music curriculum will be presented to the public,and the problems existing in its development process will be put forward and solutions will be given,so as to help the high school three characteristic music curriculum to be successfully promoted.
