| Homework assignment and check in learning Chinese has become crucial since students are able to review all studied lessons.Also,teachers can be able to assess students’understanding levels and realize their learning performance through checking students’homework.In addition,students can know their drawbacks and are required to improve their knowledge,apart from homework given by their teachers.It is supported that the appropriate homework assignment and check can lead to benefits for students.On the contrary,the unsuitable homework assignment and check can contribute to negative impacts on students.As a consequence,all teachers should thoroughly consider when giving homework assignment and check for the best advantages of students.The author therefore collected and studied documents and research from both inside and outside the country,including the research of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,specifically focusing on the homework assignment and check.This aims at exploring and analyzing information derived from the homework assignment and check in teaching Chinese from the class of Arts-Chinese program at high school level in Thailand.The research content comprises of three parts,as followings;For the first part,the author concluded the content as well as the research results from documents and research from both inside and outside the country,coupled with the research of teaching Chinese as a foreign language concerning the homework assignment and check.The author applied such content and research results to explain and give definitions for the types of homework,homework values,types of homework check,and values of homework check.For the next part,in order to well understand the conditions and problems arising from the homework assignment and check of Chinese subject for high school students in Arts-Chinese program at the present,the author designed two forms of questionnaires for high school students and Chinese-teaching teachers of Arts-Chinese program,including both the Thai and the Chinese.The author also analyzed and compared information from various sources to find out the existing problems and seek solutions to resolve those of the homework assignment and check of high school students of Arts-Chinese program.For the last part,the author expressed opinions regarding the resolution and the improvement for Chinese homework assignment and check by bringing information based on the questionnaires of both teachers and students,as well as the samples of Chinese homework assignment and check by teachers.The key research content of this research is Chinese homework assignment and check of high school students in Arts-Chinese program.The purpose is to develop Chinese homework assignment and check,coupled with the suggestions of new solutions to address problems and enhance homework assignment and check in order to meet the needs of students and to escalate the effectiveness in teaching Chinese later on.The author hopes that this research can contribute benefits for the references of Chinese homework assignment and check in the future. |
