Up till now,the primary and secondary education in China has been promoted greatly through a 17-year curricular reform of elementary education.Flipped Classroom,a teaching model following students' psychological development and centers on the students,helps to make great success in education in western countries,and it matches the very requirement of the new curriculum reform in our country.Comprehensive theoretical studies on Flipped Classroom have been conducted by educators in our country while the practical study is still at the initial stage.The rapid development of modern educational information technology provides a technical support for Flipped Classroom.It's a valuable issue among the Flipped Classroom studies to apply the Flipped Classroom into teaching practice and test its efficiency,find out the joint point of Flipped Classroom and the new curriculum reform,and provide teachers with valuable references and practical basis.This paper first makes a literature review and studies the current state of Flipped Classroom at home and abroad and define the flipped classroom in this study.The connotation and essence of Flipped Classroom is analyzed comparing with the traditional classroom teaching model.Then the paper elaborates on the different flipped teaching theories and clarifies the research ideas.A teaching framework and a detailed teaching plan were made to instruct learning before class,in class and after class.The model then was applied into mathematical teaching in junior middle school,and an empirical study was conducted based on the teaching case of “Multiplication for Powers with the Same Base”.The last part is the reflection on the problems existing in the practice process and the corresponding strategies and suggestions were put forward,and the prospect of the study was discussed in the end.The results of the practical application of Flipped Classroom in mathematical teaching in junior middle school show that:1.Comparing with the traditional classroom teaching,the Flipped Classroomcenters on students,increases adequately their learning interest and enthusiasm,and plays a significant role in improving students' learning efficiency.2.Though Flipped Classroom makes greater demands for teachers and learners,it can be expected that Flipped Classroom will be widely adopted in our country due to the rapid development of information technology.
