Mathematical operation ability is the basis of mathematical learning.In the annual national college entrance examination,the proportion of the problems inspecting students' operation ability is bigger and bigger,which shows the importance of mathematical operation ability in the college entrance examination.In our daily teaching,the author has found that students are weak in the operation ability.On the one hand,as their understanding of the formula is limited,students can not derive the formula,thus the operation time is long and the accuracy is low.On the other hand,due to the lack of operation ability,students have no fixed solution format to solve the mathematical problems.It seems that most of the math teachers in our school have not noticed that in daily teaching,so that they did not consciously cultivate and improve the students'mathematics ability both in class and after class,which leads the students always to make math errors and take up a lot of time to finish the task both in test and in the daily homework.The weak mathematical ability also limits the development of students'thinking,which makes it easy for students to lose interest and confidence in math learning.In order to solve this problem the author has learned the current situation of senior students mathematical operation ability and the existing problems by using questionnaire,besides,the author has adopted some methods and strategies to solve the existing problem,which aims to improve our school students' mathematical operation ability.In this tnesis,the author mainly adopts the questionnaire investigation,literature research and survey research to know the present situation of senior students mathematical operation ability and the existing problems,and then the author analyzes the main reason of this situation so as to find the methods to solve the problem.The author spent one semester in experimenting and found several more effective methods to improve students'operational ability:Cross-class cooperation learning,the application of the bridge course and the geometry board demonstration.Then,the author used SPSS to compare the results of the students first math test between experimental class with the control class,and the results showed that the students had equal mathematical operation ability in some certain problem sets.After a semester,by contrasting the experiment class students'scores in final examination with the scores of control class in math,finally the author compared and analyzed that students'operation ability in experimental class has improved a lot to a certain extent.
