An Empirical Study Of The Relationship Between Economic Growth And Employment In Hubei Province From 1997 To 2016

As a large province in central China,Hubei Province is of great significance in exploring the relationship between economic growth and employment in the process of economic development.It is related to the harmony and stability of society and the foundation of people's livelihood.Economic growth has always been an important issue of macroeconomic concern,and it has always been listed as an important goal by the government.The country's development and progress are inseparable from economic growth,and the employment of the people is also an important issue concerning people's livelihood.Both economic growth and people's employment play a vital role in the development of a region and country.On the one hand,economic growth can bring more jobs and provide people with basic access to material living materials.The increase can also promote economic growth.Whether it can form a virtuous circle between the two,plays a pivotal role in the path of a country's healthy development.The basic premise of employment growth is economic growth.According to the "Ao Affirmation Law"proposed by foreign scholars,there should be a negative correlation between the country's GDP and unemployment rate.A high economic growth rate is bound to be accompanied by a lower unemployment rate.A higher unemployment rate is bound to be accompanied by a lower economy,growth rate.However,from the data of economic growth and employment in Hubei Province from 1997 to 2015,there is a significant causal relationship between the two.The economic growth of Hubei Province has maintained a high growth rate.In comparison,the employment rate has increased.There are some dwarfs.Many scholars in the academic world have conducted some research on this,but they have not yet reached a unified conclusion.This paper finds that the economic growth of Hubei Province is not obvious because of the slow adjustment of the industrial structure of Hubei Province.The employment of the primary industry is slowing down,while the secondary and tertiary industries are slow.It does not absorb the employment of the primary industry very well,resulting in a slow growth rate of employment in Hubei Province.This paper first determines the research objectives,background and significance,and then analyzes and describes the current situation of economic growth and employment in Hubei Province based on the collection of domestic and foreign literature.And through the calculation of the growth rate,employment elasticity and other data for further analysis,and then summed up their theoretical analysis and establish a model,and finally through empirical,first test the stability of the data,and then carry out regression analysis,and finally the cause and effect of the data test.This paper empirically analyzes the relationship between the two regions in terms of regional GDP and employment in Hubei Province for 19 years,and analyzes the relationship between the two,and proposes some suggestions to improve the relationship between the two.
