Study On The Impact Of Economic Growth On Employment In Jilin Province

It is the basic goal of macroeconomic operation to achieve sustaining economic growth and full employment.Since the reform and opening up,China's economy has maintained rapid growth,becoming the second largest economy in the world.The employment scale has been expanding and the employment situation is generally stable.But for a long time,employment growth and economic growth rate were not synchronized.Economic growth conducted different effects on employment at different times.Economic growth has a more pronounced effect on employment for Jilin province which faces the same problem.It is the main aim how to implement positive interaction and coordinated development between regional economic growth and employment,taking Jilin province as the research object in this paper.Through the analysis of the evolution of economic and employment growth in Jilin province in the past 40 years since the reform and opening up,based on the changes in the total amount of economic and employment growth in Jilin province,the growth rate,structural adjustment and other aspects.This paper comprehensively applied the methods of employment elasticity,comparative analysis,qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis to study the stage characteristics,causes,mechanism and development trend of the economic growth in Jilin province,concluding that the driving effect of economic growth on employment in Jilin province was following the way "strong,weak,negative,weak and strong".Based on the key factors affecting the employment elasticity such as ownership structure,industrial structure,urbanization process and human capital,this paper puts forward some suggestions such as promoting the coordinated development and positive interaction between economic growth and employment in Jilin province,enriching the research achievements in this field,and providing reference for the scientific decision-making of relevant government departments.
