With the continuous development of the Chinese economy,social work is also developing steadily.The service targets of social work are gradually transferred from the group with difficulties and problems to the normal groups with needs,reflecting the development trend and development demand of social work,and the social work services for school-age children in urban communities are also confirm it.However,most of the researches on children's behavioral problems are theoretical,and the majority of them are researches from the perspectives of psychology,medicine,and education.Many investigations and studies are included among those perspectives,while the practice research of correcting children's behavior problems is relatively rare.The author used interview and observation methods to study the social work intervention of school-age children's behavior problems in J community,hoping to provide reference for the development of professional services in the field of social work.During the research period,the author found that school-age children in the general sense of urban communities have different levels of behavioral problems,mainly manifested in: learning-weariness,rebellious and aggressive behavior,and unhealthy lifestyle behaviors.The behavioral problems are harmful to school-age children,which are not conducive to the growth of children,endangering children's physical health,affecting their family harmony,and adversely affecting social harmony and stability.After investigation,it is found that the causes of behavioral problems of school-age children in urban communities mainly come from families,schools and society.Unstable family structure,improper handling of parents' emotions,poor communication between teachers and parents,and adverse effects of the media,which will lead to the different types of behavioral problems among urban community school age children.In response to this situation,under the guidance of the dominant perspective theory,cognitive behavior theory,and social learning theory,the author adopts certain social work intervention skills,respectively uses case work and group work to provide service for children and parents,hoping to solve the behavior problems in the ordinary sense of the children's group more effectively through practical methods.The author's founding has a certain practical significance and academic significance for the case work and group work for children aged 6-13 with their families in the J community of W city.Firstly,the author explores the strategies,techniques,and effectiveness of professional social work interventions in children's behavioral problems by documenting and analyzing casework and the planning,process,and execution of group work.Secondly,the author analyzes the practical strategies of the two cases and a group,reflects and evaluates all aspects of the implementation process.This aims to help solve the behavioral problems faced by school-age children through multi-dimensional social work services and promote the healthy growth of school-age children.Finally,through the analysis and summary of practical activities,it provides experience and reference for the social work intervention and resolution of children's growth problems,and further promotes the research and exploration of social work in the service for school-age children.
