China's economic construction has entered a new normal.As an important support for the new normal economy,urbanization has already become the new engine for China's economic sustainable development.With the development of urbanization,a large number of migrant workers are pouring into the city,making significant contributions to the construction and development of cities.The title of migrant workers in cities deserves the respect of all Chinese and even the whole world.China's remarkable achievements at present are the result of the struggle of the Chinese people and the hard work of the vast number of migrant workers in cities.The government should and has been actively trying to serve the migrant workers in social security and public services to ensure equal treatment and rights with the local registered population in employment,medical care,education,old-age security and other issues,especially in the education of the children.It actively advocates fair education and resolves the problem of attending school according to local conditions.Following the solution of the difficulty in school attendance,the quality assurance of school attendance is another important issue in the education of migrant workers' children.This study investigates the current situation of the learning motivation of migrant workers' children in Jinan X Junior Middle School,analyzes the main factors affecting their learning motivation and discusses the strategies to enhance their learning motivation so as to improve the students' academic performance and promote their development.Using the self-oriented achievement motivation scale and social-oriented achievement motivation scale compiled by YU Anbang and the self-compiled questionnaire on factors affecting learning motivation,371 students in X Junior Middle School were investigated.Combining with qualitative research,25 students and 6 head teachers were interviewed semi-structurally.Comparing with the differences of learning motivation level between migrant workers' children and local students,differences of learning motivation levels among the different genders,grades and parents' educational background of migrant workers' children,and analyzing from students' individual,family and school factors,this study puts forward the improvement measures according to the research conclusion.The following conclusions can be drawn through analysis.1.Present situation of learning motivation(1)The learning motivation of migrant workers' children is lower than that of urban residents' children.(2)There are grade differences in the learning motivation of migrant workers' children.The self-oriented achievement motivation in the first grade is greater than that in the second grade.There is a kind of trend that the self-oriented achievement motivation in the first grade is higher than that in the third grade and higher than that in the second grade.The social-oriented achievement motivation in the first grade is higher than that in the second and third grade,and there is a kind of trend the social-oriented achievement motivation in the third grade is higher than that in the second grade.(3)There is no gender difference in the self-oriented achievement motivation and social-oriented achievement motivation of migrant workers' children.(4)Parents' educational background has no effect on the learning motivation of migrant workers' children,and there is no significant difference between self-oriented achievement motivation and social-oriented achievement motivation.2.Influencing factors of learning motivation(1)All the factors of students themselves,families and schools have different degrees of influence on students' motivation,among which students themselves have the greatest influence,followed by school factors and finally family factors.(2)In the dimension of students themselves,learning interest,learning achievement and learning goal have the greatest impact on learning motivation.(3)In the school dimension,class style,learning content and teacher-student relationship are the major factors affecting learning motivation.(4)In the family dimension,parents' attention to learning and parents' upbringing style have greater impact on learning motivation.(5)There is no significant difference between grade,gender and parents' educational background in the influence of three dimensions of students themselves,family and school on the learning motivation of migrant workers' children.Finally,according to the conclusion of the study,the improvement measures are put forward from three aspects.1.Give full play to the core role of students themselves in promoting learning motivation.(1)Cultivate students' optimistic and upward mentality and stimulate students' interest in learning.(2)Help students to set learning goals and gradually improve their academicperformance.(3)Guiding students to strengthen self-management and cultivate good learning habits.2.Give full play to the leading role of schools in promoting students' learning motivation.(1)Strengthen the construction of class atmosphere and create a good learning and living environment.(2)Teachers should rationally design teaching contents and improve teaching methods according to their learning conditions.(3)Care for the children of migrant workers and build a good teacher-student relationship.(4)Cooperate with the families to help students' family education.3.Give full play to the key role of parents in promoting students' learning motivation.(1)Parents should truly fulfill their responsibilities and actively accompany their children's growth.(2)Parents should pay attention to their children's learning situation and guide their children's growth correctly.(3)Parents should start with the reflection and change of the way of upbringing and gradually improve their children's learning motivation.
