The continuous progress of society and the development of the times have posed greater challenges to education.A new round of curriculum reform has been launched in an all-round way.In 2017,the Ministry of Education promulgated new curriculum standards for senior high schools,which also put forward new requirements for the teaching of history.Britain,as a spontaneous modern country,has played a special and extremely important role in world history.The teaching of British history should be paid enough attention to and play a key role in the teaching of Chinese special history.Based on the latest edition of the history curriculum standard of senior high school and the compulsory history textbook of senior high school published by People's Education Press in 2006,this paper further explores the teaching strategies of British history under the new situation by analyzing the content of English history in the textbook,in order to help the teaching of English history in senior high school.This paper consists of the following four parts:The introduction mainly includes the significance of the topic,the main content of the study,the research summary,the theoretical basis,the research methods and the significance of the study.The first chapter consists of two parts.The first part mainly studies the new curriculum standard of senior high school history in 2017,carefully analyses the requirements of British history in the new curriculum standard,and compares it with the old curriculum standard to grasp the latest direction of education.The second part analyses the overall distribution of British history in the compulsory textbooks of PEP,and on this basis,compares the content distribution of British history with that of American history,French history and Japanese history,so as to explore the overall status of British history.The second chapter consists of two parts.The first part is from the students'point of view,mainly aiming at the statistics and analysis of the results of the questionnaire on English history of compulsory Senior High School of PEP,to further understand the learning situation of English history and the learning status of students.The second part mainly presents the teaching situation and teaching confusion of English history content in senior high school from the perspective of teachers.Chapter three,on the basis of the specific analysis of British history in the previous chapters,puts forward the specific teaching strategies of British history teaching,and presents the specific teaching cases and reflections in the teaching of British history for everyone to exchange and discuss.
