Malaysia is a multi-ethnic country with a different education system than other countries. There are three major stream of education in Malaysia primary schools, namely, the National Primary School, the Vernacular Chinese school, and the Vernacular Tamil School.Malay Language as the official language in the national school, and the main medium of instruction in the country, while Vernacular Chinese school and Vernacular Tamil School can use their native language as the medium of instruction, provided that Mandarin and English are listed as compulsory subject. On the other hand,in addition to the national language,Malay Language as the medium of instruction, the national school also offers elective subjects in other languages to meet the needs of different ethnic groups. In theory,it is an ideal place for all ethnic groups to learn together. However, because the expanding of China economy, many non-Chinese parents sent their children to Chinese school, they hoped that their children would be able to learn more Mandarin in Chinese school. They also believe that the foundation Chinese primary school is strong and the setting good spirit of learning in school, and some parents believe that their children could influence by Chinese culture and their attitudes are different. Therefore, every year,a large number of non-Chinese parents send their children to Chinese Primary school and have an upward trend year by year. However, some non-Chinese students who study in Chinese school are very week in Mandarin, some of them don't even know the numbers 1 to 10.However,Chinese student have a good Mandarin foundation,so the teaching is very challenging.I hope that through this case studies,I will discuss the reasons why the Chinese primary school-SJK(C)Ketari non-Chinese parents have given up to send their children to the mainstream schools, choose to send their children to Chinese primary school, and analyze their choices.I also hope to use this study to specifically understand the learning situation of non-Chinese students, including the learning dilemmas faced by non-Chinese students and their impact on the small academic level of SJK(C)Ketari. Finally,I would like to know the school's coping strategies for the low scores of non-Chinese students to improve the overall performance of their learning as to prevent non-Chinese parents from losing confidence in Chinese Primary School Education.27 non-Chinese parents,21 teacher and 37 non-Chinese students from SJK(C)Ketari were involved in this study.I first used the bilingual(Malay and Chinese)questionnaire to make research on non-Chinese parents.Next,I surveyed non-Chinese students' learning experiences in Chinese school through questionnaires, including cultural impacts, limitations of learning environment, and lack of personal cognition.Later,I used questionnaires and interviews to find out how the school responded to the impact of weak on non-Chinese students.I also received the five-year UPSR(Six Assessment Test)results from the school to support the argumentation of this study, making this research more credible. The study found that non-Chinese parents choose to send their children to Chinese primary school mainly because of the economic value of Chinese, and hope that children can master the language to make them more competitive after entering the society. In addition,non-Chinese students are mainly faced with problems caused by religious culture and language after entering Chinese primary school.Especially language problems bring learning difficulties to non-Chinese students. In addition,non-Chinese parents must invest more time, money and energy to take care of their children's studies, otherwise their children learning in China may be caught in a learning dilemma.
