The curriculum reform of basic education aims at the cultivation of students'core qualities,in which scientific inquiry is a very important aspect.However,due to the time constraints,the pressure of entering school and the uneven quality of teachers,the teaching level of scientific inquiry is not high,and the cultivation of students'scientific inquiry ability is insufficient.This leads to junior high school students in addition to improving the core scientific literacy in class,but also through school-based curriculum learning to improve scientific literacy.Therefore,how to break through the limitations of textbooks and resources and develop school-based curriculum so as to cultivate the core scientific literacy of junior high school students,especially the cultivation of scientific inquiry ability,has become the main issue of this study.This research combines junior high school science curriculum objectives,and puts forward the development and practice of junior high school science school-based curriculum.Based on scientific inquiry,the school-based curriculum of junior high school science aims at improving students'core scientific literacy.It is specifically divided into four aspects:cultivating scientific inquiry ability,enhancing scientific knowledge and skills,promoting the formation of correct scientific attitude,emotion and values,and fully linking science,technology,society and environment.Use school-based curriculum to enrich students'learning and meet students' diversified development needs.This study defines the concepts of scientific inquiry ability and school-based curriculum emphasized in this study through literature analysis,and understands the theoretical relationship between scientific inquiry and school-based curriculum,and grasps the general process of school-based curriculum development.Thirdly,the current situation of science teachers'science teaching in Ruixiang Experimental School of Zhejiang Province was investigated and the research questions were put forward.Secondly,under the guidance of constructivism and inquiry teaching theory,this paper takes two parallel classes of eighth grade students of Ruixiang Experimental School in Zhejiang Province as the research object,carries out school-based teaching practice with inquiry teaching mode for the students of the experimental class,and analyses teaching cases.Finally,based on the school-based curriculum objectives,the curriculum is evaluated from the perspective of teachers and students through interviews and statistical analysis.The results of this study show that:1.Inquiry teaching mode can effectively mobilize students'learning enthusiasm;2.School-based science curriculum based on scientific inquiry can improve students' core scientific literacy to a certain extent,especially scientific inquiry ability;3.School-based science curriculum based on scientific inquiry can promote the cultivation of students'scientific knowledge and skills,and help them form the right price.Secondary school-based science curriculum based on scientific inquiry can enhance students'understanding of science and technology,science and society,science and environment.
