The development of education for children with intellectual disabilities is one of the important indicators for judging a country's educational level and social justice.The education of children with intellectual disabilities is a major part of China's education system.It is one of the important tasks of promoting the fairness of education and building a strong country of education in the report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.As one of the activities of serving as a vulnerable group and carrying out professional services,social work must undertake the tasks of safeguarding and improving people's livelihood and strengthening and innovating social governance.At present,in the study of social work involving children with intellectual disabilities in China,most of them work in families with mentally handicapped cases by case or group work,which proves the feasibility of social work practice methods in the field of children with intellectual disabilities.In this paper,the author practices in the special education school in the Altay region,through a five-month field observation,field participation,interview method,a comprehensive analysis of the teaching situation of children with intellectual disabilities.It is known that there are certain defects in the teaching content,teaching methods and teaching methods in the life-study teaching of children with intellectual disabilities,which leads to the lack of self-care ability of some basic children with mental retardation.Therefore,the author aims at the living conditions and needs of children with mental retardation,and under the support of the theory of empowerment and behavioral learning,the group is involved in the life education of children with mental retardation,and through the development of six-stage self-care ability training services,The cultivation of basic living abilities such as washing,dining,and dressing will grow and improve the basic living self-care ability of the client,thereby further improving the self-discipline of life.Finally,the group intervention research process will be summarized and reflected,and the life education of children with intellectual disabilities will be improved.The group work involved and the development of life-threatening children's life curriculum recommendations.
