| Students’ ability of scientific inquiry is an important part of biology’s core quality,and it puts forward higher requirements for teachers’ teaching level under the new curriculum reform.First of all,this study is aimed at the biological teachers and students of Yangjiang High School to conduct a questionnaire survey and teacher interviews.The results show that: the results show that: During the teaching of biological experiment,teachers attach importance to examination-oriented education,lack of training of students’ scientific inquiry ability,lack of understanding of training methods and patterns while students have a strong interest in biological experiments,but the experimental ability and scientific inquiry ability still need to be strengthened.On the basis of this problem,the author puts forward the teaching mode of heuristic biological experiment teaching.The teaching model consists of seven aspects.The case design is carried out with the three experiments from Biology,Module 1 in PEP,and students in Senior 1 are selected for practical teaching: the experimental class adopts the heuristic biological experiment teaching mode while another class uses the traditional teaching mode.Meanwhile,the author makes "High School Students’ Scientific Inquiry Capability Testing Scale" which concludes asking questions,making assumptions,designing experiments,implementing plans,processing information,cooperation capabilities and drawing conclusions.In addition,SPSS is used to detect the reliability and validity of the scale,and to test whether the sturdiness and validity of the scale is good.With the "High School Students’ Scientific Inquiry Capability Testing Scale",the scientific inquiry ability before and after the teaching practice of two classes is tested and the data is analyzed by SPSS,which compares the influence of these two teaching modes on the students’ scientific inquiry ability.The results show that: 1.The biological experiment can improve the students’ ability of scientific inquiry.whether it is experimental Class or control Class,the difference between pre-test and post-test is very distinct(p <0.01).After a certain amount of time biology experiment courses,the scientific inquiry ability of experimental Class ranges from weaker tostronger while control Class varies from weaker to average.2.Heuristic teaching is more conducive to promoting students’ ability of scientific inquiry.The general picture of scientific inquiry is that experimental Class and control Class have a very significant difference(p<0.01).3.Heuristic experimental teaching is more helpful to students to master knowledge.According to the test,the average score of experimental Class is 68.56 points,compared with control Class: 64.92 points.And there is a significant difference(0.01<P<0.05).This paper suggests: 1.Using heuristic teaching mode,Teachers should raise the awareness of student-centered,direct students to play active role in learning and do well in integrating biological experiment classroom.2.In heuristic teaching,Teachers should inspire the students to think to guide students to carry out biological experiment teaching.3.Teachers should pay attention to the cultivation of students’ core quality in the experiment,especially the cultivation of scientific inquiry ability.4.Teachers should be flexible in applying all aspects of heuristic teaching mode. |
