Research purpose:Maintaining a healthy body is a prerequisite for all human activities.This paper takes healthy physical fitness and basketball physical education as the standard and means to discuss the differences of healthy physical fitness among senior high school students after taking part in basketball special classes.The major purpose of this paper is to improve the enthusiasm of students to participate in physical education,improve students' health and fitness level,cultivate students' consciousness of taking part in physical exercise and form the habit of lifelong physical education.Research methods:This paper mainly adopts the literature materials method,the experiment method and the mathematical statistics method.In this study,students aged 16to17 in the middle school alliliated to Northwestern Polytechnical University were divided into the experimental group and the control group.The subjects of body mass index(BMI),)body fat rate,left and right hand grip,vertical jump,one minute sit-up,one minute push-up,sit-forward flexion and Vo2 max were conducted for 8weeks.Through 8 weeks of intervention,healthy physical fitness test data were compared and analyzed.In this way,the variation characteristics of students' physical fitness(body composition fitness,muscle fitness,flexibility fitness,cardio-pulmonary function)were studied.Research resuls:After 8 weeks of experimental intervention,the test results of health fitness in the experimental group and the control group were as follows.1.Body composition: there was no significant change in body mass index(BMI)and body fat rate in experimental group(P < 0.05),and there was no significant difference in(BMI),body fat rate in control group(P > 0.05).2.There was a significant difference(P <0.05)between the left and right hand grip of the students in the experimental group(P <0.05).There was a significant difference in the number of female students(P <0.05),and there was a significant difference between the male and female sit-ups(P <0.01).There was no significant difference(P> 0.05)between the control group's grip,the vertical jump(female),the push-up(male)and the sit-up(female).3.Flexibility and fitness:there was no significant difference between the two groups(p>0.05).4.Cardiorespiratory fitness: the maximal oxygen uptake(Vo2max)and vitalcapacity of the experimental group were significantly different(P < 0.05)and vital capacity(P < 0.01).There was no significant difference in the maximal oxygen uptake(Vo2max)and vital capacity(P > 0.05)in the control group(P > 0.05).The maximal oxygen uptake capacity of the subjects in the control group was significantly increased(P < 0.05),which indicated that the cardio-pulmonary function was improved and the exercise ability was enhanced.Research conclusion1.Taking part in basketball PE classes can keep students' body composition within the normal range,and increase the effect of exercise and fat reduction.2.High school students' grip strength,vertical jump,sit-up(girls)and push-ups(boys)were significantly improved by taking part in basketball PE classes.The students' muscle fitness could be improved effectively.3.Basketball physical education does not have a significant impact on flexibility and fitness of senior high school students.4.Basketball physical education can improve the heart and lung fitness of high school students,and can also improve their vital capacity and the maximum oxygen uptake.
