Postgraduate education is a professional education that emphasizes innovative ability.Improving the teaching quality of postgraduate education,cultivating innovative talents and promoting the all-round development of students are the primary tasks of colleges and universities.It is of great significance for engineering students to study and study in the studio(referred to as "study")for their three-year postgraduate career.The harmonious atmosphere of the studio is beneficial to the master of engineering students to enhance the friendship between teachers and students and to form a good emotional experience.A proper amount of studio projects are beneficial to master degree students in engineering to improve their abilities in autonomous learning,finding and solving problems,exploring research,literature reading,etc.and lay a solid professional foundation.This is of great significance for promoting the cultivation of innovative engineering practical talents.This study adopts qualitative research.Based on the cognition and understanding of engineering students’ workshop,the interview objects are obtained through purposive sampling,and one-on-one in-depth interview communication is conducted.Through analysis of interview data and coding and induction of students’ harvest,the final conclusion is as follows: first,the overall atmosphere of engineering workshops is harmonious;Second,the most important work in engineering studios is to do projects and form communities.Third,the most important learning activity in the studio is organizing meetings,where everyone can ask questions and discuss with each other.Fourth,learning in the studio is mainly promoted through projects,emphasizing autonomous learning ability and strong practicality.Fifth,engineering postgraduates have gained the most in self-accomplishment,problem finding and solving,autonomous learning,graduation design,professional skills and literature research ability,followed by peer relationship,thinking and critical ability,teacher-student relationship and career choice view,and the lowest in values,interpersonal communication ability,exploration and research ability,professional knowledge and personality quality.On the basis of the above conclusions,the analysis of influencing factors shows that the following aspects are the main factors that affect the achievement of engineering master students in studio study: first,the influence of tutors,who act as supervisors and guides;Second,the influence of studio atmosphere,too relaxed and too professional studio atmosphere are not conducive to the growth and development of students;Third,the enthusiasm of the students themselves;Fourth,the leading role of peers.In order to gain more and improve the education quality of engineering postgraduates,based on in-depth conversation with the interviewees and analysis of relevant documents,the author puts forward some suggestions from the following aspects: first,reduce the size of the workshop postgraduates;Second,teachers should pay more attention to students.Third,the studio is a place for learning and should be professionalized.Fourth,students themselves should improve their self-discipline.
