STEM education originated from the United States.It consists of four disciplines of science,technology,engineering and mathematics.It is essentially interdisciplinary integration.How to build a bridge between them and discover their inner connections,rather than deliberately piece together and form.This is the biggest difficulty in integrating STEM education into teaching.In order to solve this big problem,this paper believes that it can be based on a subject to carry out thematic integration,taking the junior high school physics as an example,and choose the four themes of verification,inquiry,manufacturing and creation as the entry point.It is classified according to the final results of the students.Based on the characteristics of STEM education theory and physics,this paper mainly analyzes these four modules.Based on the understanding process from shallow to deep,from verification to inquiry to manufacturing to creation,the overall goal is to let our students aware of science,to be willing to explore,to be diligent and to be creative.Firstly,combined with the status of STEM education research at home and abroad,the necessity and possibility of introducing STEM into junior high school physics teaching are analyzed.According to the analysis of each topic’s characteristics,goals,mutual differences and connections,find the application mode suitable for each topic,and then scientifically and rationally carry out instructional design according to these models.Through the design of four specific teaching cases,the process and method of integrating STEM education are discussed from the aspects of teaching analysis,goal setting,design ideas,problem proposal,project establishment,activity design,research preparation,concrete implementation and teaching reflection.The integration of STEM education into a certain subject does not require all aspects,all four disciplines to cover,and can be tilted.In thecase of instructional design,the verification type STEM teaching focuses on the science-digital integration,the inquiry-type STEM teaching focuses on the science-technical integration,the manufacturing-type STEM teaching focuses on the science-work integration,and the creative STEM teaching has a stronger comprehensiveness.The core is the realization of student creativity.Finally,how to integrate the four modules to achieve the goal,including the content of the junior high school can carry out verification STEM teaching(including inquiry type,manufacturing type,creation type),what stage to carry out and put forward the overall concept.
