Nowadays, more and more people are aging, which brings challenges to the development of society and families.More and more old people, even the dying ones, are demanding more and more resources. At present, the number and service quality of nursing staff for the aged in our country are far from enough compared with the number of disabled and semi-disabled elderly in the whole society, which is unable to achieve the social goal of providing for the aged well. The lives of these disabled elderly people are mostly taken care of by their families, but their families are overwhelmed with things every day,and their care for the dying elderly is more than they can afford. Therefore, the demand for hospice care for the dying elderly is increasing day by day.The focus of hospice care is not only physical, but also extends to the psychological needs, spiritual needs and social needs of the elderly. For the dying elderly, hospice care can not only relieve pain but also bring dignity. The characteristics of hospice care are to relieve the pain of the dying elderly from the psychological aspect and bring more good news to the elderly and their families. On the other hand,it makes hospice care nurses face more and more pressure. It not only requires more professional knowledge and nursing skills, but also requires more time, energy and feelings than those of the ordinary care staff. If the adjustment is not good,it may bring great pressure to the nursing staff.Excessive stress will affect nurses’ personal emotions, endanger their physical and mental health, reduce work efficiency, which in turn will affect the quality of hospice care. Therefore, this article specifically discusses and analyzes the pressure of nursing staff in hospice care and the causes of the pressure, and puts forward relevant suggestions and countermeasures by using social work professional intervention methods to help nursing staff decompress, which is of great significance to improve the service quality of hospice care.
