The rapid development of globalization brings opportunities as well as challenges to all countries in the world.The global problems brought by globalization can not be underestimated.It also puts forward new requirements for the cultivation of future talents.It requires the ability to solve the escalating global problems and to cooperate with people from different countries and cultures,which puts forward higher requirements for education,which is closely related to the cultivation of global literacy.Teachers are the basis of education development.As one of the main forces of education,teachers should have global literacy in order to cultivate students with global literacy.Teachers' Global Competency refers to the knowledge,skills,attitudes and values that teachers themselves have in order to develop and cultivate students' Global Literacy in the context of globalization.As an important engine of China's economic development,with the increasing degree of globalization,the Pearl River Delta will have an increasingly urgent need for talents with global literacy to cope with the development of globalization.However,there are not many studies on teachers' Global Competency in China at present,and the Pearl River Delta region does not attach much importance to the Global Literacy of secondary school teachers.Therefore,the purpose of this study is to attract more attention and attention to teachers' Global Competency.This study uses literature analysis,questionnaire survey,in-depth interviews and other major research methods.Through literature analysis,we clarify the core concepts and determine the theoretical basis of the study as "PISA Global Competency Framework".According to the four dimensions of the framework,wedesign questionnaires and interview outlines from the three measurement objectives of knowledge,skills and attitudes(values are not within the scope of this measurement study);collect first-hand information through questionnaire survey and in-depth interviews,and analyze the results.Former middle school teachers' Global Competency awareness development level.The results show that: teachers have a better understanding of the impact of globalization;the overall level of teachers' Global Competency is good,and there are differences in the level of awareness of various dimensions;teachers' education attaches general importance to teachers' Global Competency,while teachers' individual attaches higher importance;the interaction between teachers' Global Competency and teachers' gender and age,teaching subjects,whether teachers and students,regions,and outcomes The number of countries is correlated with gender,age,teaching age,professional title,teaching grade,school category and school nature,and academic qualifications are correlated with three levels of Global Literacy dimension 1,dimension 2 and dimension 3.Finally,according to the results of the research,the author puts forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions from the national level,the school level and the individual level of teachers to improve the overall quality of secondary school teachers,and to promote the professional development of teachers.The research on middle school teachers' Global Competency plays an active role in promoting teachers' Global Literacy awareness and cultivating more students with Global Competency.It is of great significance to the development of globalization and the progress of education.
