A Study On The Strategy Of Social Work Intervening In Rural Poverty Alleviation

Poverty has always been a key issue facing the development of human society.Countries all over the world are trying to eliminate poverty and improve people's well-being.Since the founding of New China,our government has been committed to poverty alleviation.From extensive poverty alleviation to development poverty alleviation,the hematopoietic function of poverty alleviation has become more and more prominent.In November 2013,General Secretary Xi Jinping put forward the concept of "precise poverty alleviation".In November 2015,the CPC Central Committee and the State Council made a decision to win the battle against poverty and carry out precise poverty alleviation in the new period.Since the precise poverty alleviation work was carried out,more than 60 million poor people have steadily lifted themselves out of poverty,and remarkable achievements have been made in poverty alleviation work in China.However,the current accurate poverty alleviation also exposed some drawbacks,such as poor targeted poverty alleviation projects,emphasis on material growth over human development,poor households less initiative to participate in.Since its birth,social work has been taking "helping the poor" as its own responsibility,anti-poverty throughout the development of social work has always been.Social work is a professional help-the-people activity serving the social disadvantaged groups.It makes the disadvantaged groups better by providing professional services,which is consistent with the goal of precise poverty alleviation.The value concepts of social work,such as "helping people help themselves" and "earning dignity for life",are also in good agreement with the idea of precise poverty alleviation in the new era in China.Moreover,the unique professional theory,methods and skills of social work have greatly promoted the realization of the goal of precise poverty alleviation.From the perspective of social work,this study explores the necessity,feasibility and advantages of social work involved in precision poverty alleviation.Based on the investigation and research in Y Village of Yunfu City,the author analyzes the causes of poverty in poor villages in Y village,reveals the problems and effects of Y villages' precise poverty alleviation,and discusses the strategies of social work involved in the precision poverty alleviation in Yvillage.This study hopes to inject new vitality into rural precision poverty alleviation through the concept,theory and method of social integration,assist poor households to strengthen capacity building,and finally achieve the goal of precision poverty alleviation.At the same time,it is expected that this study can provide reference for the social work in Yunfu area to intervene in rural poverty alleviation.
