Research On Social Support Network Intervention In The Rehabilitation Of Senile Mental Illness In Rural Areas

There are more than 100 million people suffering from various kinds of mental diseases in China,including 6.96 million rural elderly people suffering from mental diseases.Elderly patients face the dual pressure of physical and mental diseases and need the care and companionship of family members,tolerance and understanding of neighbors,and help and support from the society.The interaction between elderly patients and social support network has a positive impact on their life and recovery,and a series of problems exist in the interaction process,which need to be solved urgently.The rural elderly people with mental illness is a special social vulnerable groups,through the survey found that social support network for the rehabilitation and life have to help,but the current domestic for the rural elderly people with mental illness of social support network research is relatively scarce,lack of social work intervention in elderly patients with mental illness in the rural areas the localization of social support network path,so this research from the perspective of social support network of the rural elderly psychiatric rehabilitation social support network operation mechanism,the pattern design and practice of social support,rural elderly people with mental illness in China to provide theoretical basis for the study of social support network,It plays a positive role in improving the theory of mental health social work and ensuring social stability.In this study,three elderly patients with mental illness in L village,X town,S district,heilongjiang province were taken as research objects by in-depth interview and participatory observation.Their families,neighbors and village doctors were interviewed in depth and the interview data were analyzed.From the source,interaction and influence of social support of rural elderly mental illness patients,the multi-mode of social support of rural elderly mental illness patients,namely,family support mode,neighborhood support mode and community support mode,is proposed.By evaluating the needs of elderly patients and planning practical strategies,the practical design of social support intervention for rural elderly patients with mental illness was carried out.
