Through a series of activities such as design,assembly,programming,debugging and running,robot education makes students’ hands,brains,eyes,ears and mouth move,which is an important platform for cultivating students’ innovative ability and practical ability.However,the beginning of robot education in China is not long and the foundation is relatively weak.How to make robot education get better development in our country,break through the teaching of the subject knowledge of robotics,better integrate with other disciplines,enhance students’ creativity,and make our country become a "smart country".Based on this,this study attempts to use the STEM education concept to guide robot teaching.The students in the seventh grade of the eighth middle school of Shihezi City are used as research objects to explore whether the students’ creative tendency has changed positively after the robot teaching guided by the STEM education concept.And summed up the STEM-based junior high school robot teaching strategy,in order to provide some new ideas for robot education.The main work of this paper is as follows:The first part is the research overview.This paper elaborates on the research background,topic selection,research purpose and significance,research content and methods,and the current research status of STEM education and robot education at home and abroad.The second part is mainly related to the theoretical basis.This paper supports the theory of constructivism,“learning by doing” and the theory of multiple intelligences,and defines the key concepts of this research: STEM,STEM education,robot teaching,STEM-based robot teaching,creativity.The third part focuses on the teaching strategies of robotics in junior middle schools based on STEM ideas.After the analysis and summary of some literature,combined with the investigation of the current situation of robot interest group learning in shihezi No.8 middle school,the teaching strategies for robot education were established.The fourth part is mainly based on STEM’s practical application of junior high school robot teaching strategy.This part is based on the students of the Shihezi No.8 middle school Robotics Interest Group and conducts three teaching studies.In the research,through questionnaires,observations and other means to continuously improve the teaching program,and use statistical software to do data processing analysis of the questionnaire to detect whether the STEM-based junior high school robot teaching strategy has a positive effect on students’ creative tendencies,whether students are satisfied with this strategy.The fifth part is the research conclusion and suggestions.
